ON EMOTION BY COMMISSIONER Loy, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />MASSEY, CHAIRMAN BOGOSIAN VOTED IN FAVOR AND THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY <br />APPROVED THE CONTRACT BETWEEN THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY AND HUNNICUTT & ASSOCIATES, INC. AND AUTHORIZED <br />THE SIGNATURE OF THE CHAIRMAN. <br />CONTRACT <br />between <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />and <br />HUNNICUTT & ASSOCIATES, INC. <br />THIS CONTRACT, made and entered into the last day and year <br />hereinafter set; forth., by and -between the BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, hereinafter referred to as the <br />"COMMISSION," and HUNNICUTT & ASSOCIATES, INCORPORATED, a Florida <br />corporation with its principal office located at 433 Fourth Street, North; <br />St. Petersburg, Florida, hereinafter referred to as the "CORPORATION." <br />WITNESSETH: <br />WHEREAS, the Assessor of Indian River County feels that a general <br />review and updating of all taxable and exempt real property and approximately <br />2,500 items of tangible personal property, and the appraisal of new structures and <br />additions or alterations is necessary and essential in order to comply with the <br />constitution and laws of the State of Florida, requiring "just value" assessments, <br />and that certain mapping, for the benefit of the Assessor and other County bodies, <br />is beneficial at this time, and, <br />WHEREAS, the COMMISSION of Indian River County feels that it is <br />essential to the orderly conduct of business to employ an independent and qualified <br />appraisal firm, experienced within the State of Florida, to furnish the services of <br />members of its staff to review and update all taxable and exempt structures (includ- <br />ing homesteads) and certain personal property appraisals within the boundaries of <br />Indian River County for the information, guidance, and use in preparing property <br />assessments as provided by law for ad valorem tax purposes, and, to perform the <br />mapping as described further herein, and, <br />WHEREAS, Hunnicutt & Associates, Inc., is qualified and experienced <br />in valuation work within the State of Florida and has shown a willingness to per- <br />form work necessary in bringing about a general review and updating of all taxable <br />f _ <br />eoo� 15 <br />
