6 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 87- <br />(d) Named roads. <br />(1) The requirement of number designations for roads <br />in the unincorporated County shall not apply to <br />named roads established prior to the effective <br />date of this ordinance. <br />(2) All new roads established in the unincorporated <br />County shall be issued a number designation in <br />conformance with the grid pattern as described <br />herein. An exception to this provision, being <br />the designation of a new road with a name <br />instead of a number, may only be granted upon <br />appeal to the County Planning and Zoning <br />Commission, as set forth in Section 18-63(b) of <br />this ordinance. <br />(e) Road signs. <br />(1) When roads are created in association with <br />platted subdivisions or planned residential <br />developments (PRDs), the cost of required road <br />signs shall be borne by the developer and/or <br />development home owners association. <br />(2) Road sign design shall be reviewed by the County <br />in accordance with subdivision and PRD review <br />requirements set forth in Section 25.4, Appendix <br />A, Zoning, and Appendix B, Subdivision and <br />Platting, of the Code of Laws and Ordinances of <br />Indian River County. <br />
