i <br />r <br />THE ADMINISTRATOR INFORMED THE BOARD OF A REQUEST <br />FROM DONALD RENFROE FOR COUNTY FILL FOR HIS 15 ACRES OF LOW PROPERTY <br />IN ROSELANDs IT WAS RECOMMENDED TO THE BOARD THAT THIS PROPERTY <br />BE USED AS A STUMP DUMP AND WHEN FILLED THE AREA PACKED AND DRESSED. <br />IN RETURN FOR THIS FILL IT COULD BE PROPOSED TO MR. RENFROE TO <br />DONATE A SMALL CORNER OF THIS PROPERTY TO THE COUNTY WHICH WILL BE <br />USED AS A GARBAGE COLLECTION STATION. <br />IT WAS ALSO SUGGESTED THAT IF MR, RENFROE DID NOT <br />AGREE TO DONATE THIS CORNER, THAT THE COUNTY OFFER TO BUY IT. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER Loy, SECONDED BY <br />COMMISSIONER MCCULLERS, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY AUTHORIZED THE <br />j ADMINISTRATOR TO SECURE AN APPRAISAL FROM THE VERO BEACH BOARD OF <br />REALTORS OF THE DONALD RENFROE PROPERTY LOCATED ON A PART OF <br />LOT 17 A.A. BERRY'S SUBDIVISION IN SECTION 21, FLEMING, GRANT.. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER Loy, SECONDED BY <br />i <br />COMMISSIONER MCCULLERS, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY AUTHORIZED THE <br />ADMINISTRATOR TO CONTACT MR. DONALD RENFROE RELATIVE TO AN <br />j AGREEMENT TO USE HIS PROPERTY AS A STUMP DUMP. <br />THE ADMINISTRATOR INFORMED THE BOARD THAT SINCE <br />THE AUTHORIZATION OF THE SECONDARY ROAD MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT FOR <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, THE <br />COUNTY RECEIVED $170,477.91 FOR THE FISCAL YEAR, THE COUNTY <br />HAS SPENT $123,210.66 WHICH LEAVES A CASH SURPLUS OF $47,267.25. <br />IN ADDITION TO THAT AMOUNT THE SEPTEMBER PAYMENT FROM THE <br />DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION HAS NOT BEEN RECEIVED AT THIS TIME, <br />BUT TOTALS $22,998.38. AT THE END OF THE FIRST YEAR, THERE IS A <br />CASH SURPLUS IN THE AMOUNT OF $70,265.63. <br />THE ADMINISTRATOR ADVISED THE BOARD THAT FUTURE <br />PLANS BE CONSIDERED TO HELP THE SUPERVISOR OF ELECTIONS HAUL AND <br />SET UP THE VOTING MACHINES. THE ADMINISTRATOR STATED, THE ROAD,AND <br />BRIDGE DEPARTMENT HAS BEEN DOING THIS JOB, BUT NOW ARE OVERLOADED <br />WITH ROAD WORK AND ARE NOT,DOING THE JOBS WE SHOULD BE DOING. MR. <br />JENNINGS STATED THERE IS NOT ENOUGH PERSONNEL IN THE ROAD AND BRIDGE <br />.DEPARTMENT TO MOVE AND SET UP VOTING MACHINES'AND CONTINUE TO DO THE <br />WORK SCHEDULED FOR THIS DEPARTMENT. THE ADMINISTRATOR SUGGESTED THAT <br />AFTER THIS ELECTION, THE BOARD CONSIDER MEETING WITH ROSEMARY RICHEY <br />TO HIRE PERSONNEL IN HER DEPARTMENT WHO CAN HANDLE SETTING UP THE <br />23 <br />�m <br />
