R E S O L U T I O N <br />i1o, 72-71 <br />WHEREAS, MERRILL p. BARBER was appointed to the Indian <br />River County Long Range Planning Authority in September, 1968, <br />and to the County - Y <br />t Cit Planning Commission in August, 1969, and <br />did serve thereon through October, 1972, and <br />WHEREAS, his service during that period to the citizens <br />of Indian River County, Florida, has set a high standard of <br />excellence in performance, devotion to creating a sound stable <br />County, and sensitivity to public needs, <br />growth for Indian River <br />for his fellow members and those who will serve in the future, <br />and <br />L' <br />WHEREAS, under his chairmanship, great progress was <br />made in that a City -County Planner was employed, a master plan <br />for the County was prepared, and the plans for a second bridge • <br />across the Indian River are almost completed, and <br />WHEREAS, he has submitted his resignation from said i <br />bodies and it has been reluctantly accepted, and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian <br />River County wish to publically express its appreciation for <br />the outstanding manner in which he guided and directed the Long <br />Range Planning Authority and the County -City Planning Commission, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Indian River County, that it thanks MERRILL P. <br />BARBER on behalf of all the citizens of Indian River County for <br />his dedication to duty and public service and wish him success <br />in his future endeavors. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />By - <br />Richard Bogosian <br />ATTEST: <br />Clerk. �• .•: ,;�w.;-�p;��y <br />Book F OIL <br />l � <br />n <br />s <br />1,,8`�O 8 1 <br />
