i <br />THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br />CONVENED AT 3:40 O'CLOCK P.M. WITH THE SAME MEMBERS PRESENT. <br />THE ATTORNEY LEFT THE MEETING. <br />VAL BRENNAN, PLANNING DIRECTOR APPEARED AND REPORTED ON <br />THE FLORIDA PLANNING AND ZONING ASSOCIATION CONFERENCE HE <br />ATTENDED ON NOVEMBER 8TH, 1972. THE MAIN TOPIC OF DISCUSSION <br />CENTERED AROUND ESTABLISHING WORKABLE "REGIONAL PLANNING DISTRICT <br />BOUNDARIES". THE ADMINISTRATOR SUGGESTED WE STAY AS WE ARE UNTIL SUCH <br />TIME AS THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION BOUNDARIES ARE FINALIZED <br />THEN WE WOULD KNOW WHERE INDIAN RIVER COUNTY'S BEST INTERESTS LIE. <br />MR. BRENNAN STATED THAT WHATEVER PLANNING DISTRICT INDIAN RIVER <br />COUNTY IS PUT IN, IT SHOULD BE VERIFIED THAT WE.WILL NOT BE TAKEN <br />OUT OF DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION DISTRICT 4 (FT. LAUDERDALE) FOR <br />HIGHWAY PLANNING. MR. BRENNAN STATED HE HAD WRITTEN ARNOLD RAMOS <br />OF THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION REGARDING THIS AND WAS WAITING. <br />FOR HIS REPLY. <br />CHAIRMAN LOY RECOMMENDED THAT WE STAY WHERE WE ARE <br />AS LONG AS IT DOES NOT JEOPARDIZE OUR ROAD PROGRAM. MR. BRENNAN <br />RECOMMENDED THAT A MEMBER OF THE BOARD ATTEND A PUBLIC .HEARING <br />REGARDING DISTRICT BOUNDARIES ON DECEMBER 7, 1972 AT 10:00 O'CLOCK <br />i <br />IN THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AUDITORIUM, TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA. <br />i <br />THE CHAIRMAN WILL REQUEST THE ATTORNEY TO ATTEND THIS PUBLIC HEARING. <br />MR. BRENNAN WILL INVESTIGATE THIS FURTHER -AND REPORT TO <br />i <br />THE BOARD. <br />MR. BRENNAN REQUESTED A SALARY INCREASE FOR MEMBERS <br />OF HIS STAFF. THE BOARD ADVISED MR. BRENNAN TO OBTAIN APPROVAL <br />FROM THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION AND THEN RETURN TO THIS <br />BOARD FOR FINAL APPROVAL. <br />THE ADMINISTRATOR REQUESTED THE BOARD'S APPROVAL TO FILL <br />A PIT THAT IS LOCATED BEHIND WHISPERING PINES SUBDIVISION WITH STUMPS, <br />PACK IT AND LEVEL THE AREA. THE BOARD APPROVED THIS REQUEST, <br />AT THE LAST MEETING OF NOVEMBER 8TH, 1972, THE ADMINISTRATOR <br />I <br />WAS ADVISED TO PREPARE A MAP OF ROADS WHICH THE COUNTY IS MAINTAINING, <br />BUT ARE DEEDED TO THE FELLSMERE FARMS DRAINAGE DISTRICT.
