/99(ord\amend\pers)R13/vk <br />ORDINANCE NO. 99-28 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, <br />AMENDING CHAPTER 104, PERSONNEL, OF THE <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY CODE. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that: <br />SECTION 1. <br />Section 104.05, Deferred Compensation, which reads: <br />"Deferred compensation plans are available through ICMA Retirement <br />Corporation or the National Association of Counties, on an optional basis <br />to employees. This program is supplement to a retirement income and it <br />provides for a tax deferral on income contributed to the plan. The director <br />of personnel shall approve and administer the plans, and make <br />determinations required by F.S. Section 112.51(6)(b), <br />is amended to read as follows: <br />"Deferred compensation plans are available through ICMA Retirement <br />Corporation, Nationwide Retirement Solutions, Inc., and Mass Mutual on <br />an optional basis to employees. This program is supplement to a <br />retirement income and it provides for a tax deferral on income contributed <br />to the plan. For those employees working under the direction of the Board <br />of County Commissioners, the Director of Personnel shall approve and <br />administer these plans and make determinations required by Section <br />112.51(6)(b), Florida Statutes, For those employees working under the <br />direction of a constitutional officer, each constitutional officer shall <br />designate an individual responsible for making determinations as required <br />by the aforesaid statute. <br />SECTION 2.
