ORDINANCE 93- _ 14 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA AMENDING CHAPTER 207 LICENSING AND <br />LICENSE TAX TO REDUCE CERTAIN TAXES SO <br />THAT THEY SHALL BE UNIFORM THROUGHOUT THE <br />CLASS. <br />WHEREAS, the County imposes an occupation license tax for <br />business operating in the County; and <br />WHEREAS, said tax is required to be based on reasonable <br />classifications and uniform throughout any class; and <br />WHEREAS, upon review of the said tax it appears that certain tax <br />amounts should be adjusted downward, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF <br />COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, that: <br />SECTION 1. AMENDMENT. <br />The license taxes currently set forth in Section 207.24, 207.25, <br />207.28, 207.309 207.37 and 207.39 as follows. <br />Section 207.24 Circus, Traveling Shows, <br />Tents & Side Shows $225 ' each day <br />Section 207.25 Traveling Medicine Shows $75 <br />Section 207.28 Dance Halls $225 3 <br />Section 207.30 Fortune Tellers, Clairvoyants $300 <br />Section 207.37 Pawnbrokers $337.50 <br />May operate a side show for $30.00 each side show <br />Plus the fee in Section 207.24 if there is entertainment <br />One night only $150 <br />Are hereby reduced to $30.00 in each instance. <br />SECTION 2. SEVERABILITY. <br />If any section, or if any sentence, paragraph, phrase, or word of <br />this ordinance is for any reason held to be unconstitutional, in- <br />operative, or void, such holding shall not affect the remaining portions <br />of this ordinance, and it shall be construed to have been the legislative <br />intent to pass the ordinance without such unconstitutional, invalid or <br />inoperative part . <br />SECTION 3.
