(A) The contract shall be on a form provided by the <br />county and shall obligate the developer to complete <br />all required paving improvements, in accordance <br />with the approved site plan(s) and county <br />development regulations and standards, within a <br />period of twenty-four months of the date of the <br />C.O. <br />(B) The estimated cost of paving shall be approved by <br />the public works director or his designee <br />• after review of an itemized cost estimate <br />certified by the developer's engineer or review of <br />an actual itemized contract price bid.. <br />(C) The surety posted to guarantee performance of the <br />contract shall expire, it at all, no less than <br />ninety (90) days 'beyond the last date for <br />performance established by the contract. The <br />surety shall run in favor of � the board of county <br />commissioners, must be in a form acceptable to the <br />county attorney, and may be either: <br />1. A cash deposit and escrow agreement governing <br />control and use thereof, or <br />2. An irrevocable letter of credit, (issued by a <br />financial institution authorized to conduct <br />business within the state. <br />E. Sections 952.12(6) and (7) are hereby amended to read as <br />follows: <br />(6) Driveway signalization <br />Any driveway requiring a traffic signal shall <br />conform to those warrants specified in the Manual <br />of Uniform Traffic Control Devices, U.S. Department <br />of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration, <br />1986. The manual is adopted herein by reference, <br />and a copy shall be maintained for public <br />inspection in the office of the • - • <br />public works director or his designee. The <br />installation of any traffic signal shall be subject <br />to the accepted standards and approval of the <br />engineering department. <br />(7) Driveway Criteria <br />Driveway design shall conform to requirements <br />herein set forth and shall conform to the <br />guidelines of the Federal Highway Administration, <br />Report No. FHWA-RD-76-87, "Technical Guidelines for <br />Control of Direct Access to Arterial Highways,' <br />dated August, 1975, and the Institute of <br />Transportation Engineers recommended practice as <br />set forth in "Guidelines for Driveway Design and <br />Location," dated 1974. Both guidelines are adopted <br />by reference, and a copy of each shall be <br />maintained for public inspection in the office of <br />theR9,111DVAIMMIF <br />CM public works director or his <br />designee. <br />12. Minimum Driveway Widths for Certain Residential Projects. <br />Section 952.08(1)(e) is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />(e) Minimum right-of-way and Pavement Requirements; Credit <br />for Dedicated Land.
