WALKER ALSO BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF THE BOARD <br />THAT HE HAS BEEN RECEIVING MANY COMPLAINTS REGARDING THE LACK OF <br />CONTROL AND RESTRICTIONS PLACED ON HORSE OWNERS:WHO.WISH TO PUT <br />HORSES ON THEIR PROPERTY, <br />VERNON WAUGH, LUTHER NEW, LUTHER ODOM APPEARED TO <br />INFORM THE BOARD THAT IN EACH OF THEIR CASES THE PROPERTY AD— <br />JOURNING THEIR PROPERTY HAS HORSES WHICH CREATE MANY PROBLEMS: <br />FENCES ARE PUT TOO CLOSE TO THE PROPERTY LINE,'HORSES BREAK THROUGH <br />THE FENCES AND ROAM, THE ODOR THE HORSES CREATE. THESE MEN ARE <br />REQUESTING STRICTER REGULATIONS REGARDING HORSES, THEY WERE <br />INFORMED THAT THE ZONING REGULATIONS STATE THAT IN AN R-1 ZONE <br />THERE CANNOT BE MORE THAN ONE HORSE PER ACRE OF LAND AND THAT <br />THESE PROPERTY OWNERS MENTIONED ABOVE ARE IN VIOLATION. <br />CHAIRMAN Loy INSTRUCTED DEWEY WALKER TO.SEND•A LETTER TO <br />THESE PROPERTY OWNERS TO INFORM THEM THAT THEY ARE IN VIOLATION <br />AND INSTRUCTED THE ATTORNEY TO CARRY THIS PROBLEM TO THE ZONING <br />COMMISSION FOR THEIR EVALUATION. <br />COMMISSIONER DRITENBAS BROUGHT .UP A SAFETY FACTOR FOR <br />CONSIDERATION AND RECOMMENDED DOUBLE FENCING. <br />ATTORNEY BURCH LEFT THE MEETING TO DELIVER THE COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONER'S COUNTERPROPOSAL TO THE CITY•COUNCIL OF VERO BEACH. <br />THE HOUR OF 9:30 O'CLOCK A.P.
