ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER SIEBERT, SECONDED BY <br />COMMISSIONER DRITENBAS, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED THE <br />FOLLOWING ORDINANCE 73-3. <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY OROINANCE.73-3 <br />AMENDMENT OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY ORDINANCE NO. 71-3 <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of County Commissioners <br />of, Indian River County, Florida, that Section 27 of Indian <br />River County Ordinance No. 71-3 is hereby amended as follows: <br />SECTION 27. ZONING AMENDMENTS: <br />(A) CHANGES AND AMENDMENTS: <br />The Board of County Commissioners may from <br />, <br />m n its own motion the motion of <br />time to time, o o t <br />the Indian River County Zoning Commission or the <br />petition of the owner or the owner's authorized <br />agent, amend, supplement, change, modify, or re- <br />peal by ordinance, pursuant to the authority and <br />i.n the manner provided by state law and this <br />ordinance, the zoning boundaries or districts <br />established herein or the provisions of this. <br />ordinance. <br />(B) AMENDMENT PROCEDURES: <br />\�. Persons authorized under Paragraph (A) above <br />to request zoning changes or amendments shall submit <br />a petition on forms with the required fee and in the <br />manner provided from time to time by resolution of <br />the Board of County Commissioners. After review of <br />the petition by the County Zoning Department, the <br />applicant will take the petition to the County <br />Planning office for review. Within 10 days the <br />County Planning office will transmit the petition <br />with its comments to the County Zoning Department. <br />The Zoning Department shall transmit copies of the <br />petition and the County Planning Office's comments <br />to the members of the County Zoning Commission at <br />least seven days prior to the Zoning Commission's ' <br />first consideration of the petition. The County <br />Zoning Department shall notify the applicant of the <br />time and place of the County Zoning Commission meeting <br />to consider the applicant's petition. Should the <br />County Zoning Commission tentatively approve the <br />petition, public hearings shall be held by the County ' <br />Zoning Commission and the Board of County Commissioners. <br />Should the County Zoning Commission deny tentative <br />approval and the applicant wishes to appeal the <br />decision to the Board of County Commissioners of Indian <br />River County, the County Zoning Department shall trans- <br />mit copies of the petition, the County Planning office's <br />comments and the minutes of the Zoning Commission <br />meetingto each member of the Board of Count Commissioners <br />Y <br />at least seven days before the Board shall consider the <br />appeal.
