W.E. (KINKY) ORTH APPEARED REPRESENTING INDIAN RIVER <br />FLYING SERVICE AND INFORMED THE BOARD THAT HE HAS A PETITION <br />WHICH SHOWS THAT 96% OF THE RESIDENTS SURROUNDING THIS PROPERTY <br />ARE IN SUPPORT OF THIS ZONING CHANGE. MR. ORTH STATED THAT THIS <br />PROPERTY CONSISTS OF APPROXIMATELY SO ACRES., APPROXIMATELY <br />60 ACRES ARE REQUESTED TO BE REZONED TO R-2 MULTIPLE FAMILY <br />DISTRICT AND APPROXIMATELY 20 ACRES ARE REQUESTED TO BE REZONED <br />B-1 PLANNED BUSINESS DISTRICT. <br />DON WILCOX HAS PROPOSED THAT DEVELOPMENT WOULD BE ON <br />30 ACRES AND HE STATED THAT THE DENSITY WOULD BE SET AT NINE UNITS <br />PER ACRE, <br />MR, ORTH STATED THAT THE REMAINING 30 ACRES WOULD NOT <br />BE SOLD FOR APPROXIMATELY 3 YEARS. <br />ROBERT FLECKENSTEIN APPEARED AND ADVISED THE BOARD THAT <br />HE.WAS NOT OPPOSED TO REZONING OF 30 ACRES FOR DON WILCOX'S <br />DEVELOPMENT, BUT WAS OPPOSED TO REZONING THE REMAINING PROPERTY <br />WITH NO SITE PLAN. <br />FRANK L. ZORC APPEARED AND READ A LETTER HE HAD WRITTEN <br />TO THE BOARD OPPOSING THE REZONING OF PROPERTY WITHOUT A SITE PLAN. <br />.JAMES REAMS APPEARED IN FAVOR OF THE ZONING CHANGE. <br />FLOYD TAYLOR APPEARED IN FAVOR OF THE ZONING CHANGE, <br />ATTORNEY BURCH ASKED MR. ORTH IF A DENSITY OF 9 UNITS <br />PER ACRE ON THE REMAINING 30 ACRES WOULD BE AGREEABLE WITH HIM. <br />MR. ORTH WAS AGREEABLE TO THE DENSITY AND AGAIN STATED HE DID NOT <br />ANTICIPATE:SELLING THE REMAINING 30 ACRES FOR APPROXIMATELY THREE YEARS. <br />COMMISSIONER BOGOSIAN STATED IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN THE <br />BOARDS POLICY TO UPGRADE PROPERTY. THIS IS AN UP -GRADING IN ZONING. <br />"I ALSO HAVE FEARS AS MR. ZORC.-!BUT MR.
