ORDINANCE 2005- 017 <br />AN ORDINANCE OE INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING LAND <br />DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS (LDRS) CHAPTER 911, ZONING, BY ESTABLISHING <br />SECTION 911.22 OTHER CORRIDORS SPECIAL DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER <br />COUNTY, FLORIDA THAT THE INDIAN RIVER COUNTY LAND DEVELOPMENT <br />REGULATIONS (LDRS) BE AMENDED AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. Section 911.22. Other Corridors Special Development Regulations is hereby <br />established to read as follows (all wording is new ordinance text): <br />"Section 911.22 Other Corridors Special Development Regulations. <br />(1) Purpose and intent. The overall purpose and intent of these regulations is to: <br />(a) <br />(b) <br />(c) <br />(d) <br />(e) <br />(f) <br />Promote an attractive and inviting corridor that accommodates mass transit, <br />pedestrians, bicycles, and other transportation alternatives, as well as automobiles. <br />Provide fora sufficient amount of attractive and well-maintained landscaping to <br />complement buildings and structures within the corridor; <br />Encourage development of attractive buildings within the corridor; <br />Ensure unobtrusive and orderly signage that avoids a garish and visually cluttered <br />appearance along the corridor; <br />Encourage creative designs and buildings of quality that are articulated and presented <br />ata human scale; <br />Foster creative approaches that result in buildings of enduring character through use <br />of quality design and building materials; and <br />(2) Boundaries of Other Corridors. The boundaries of the "Other Corridors" subject to these <br />regulations (911.21) are defined as follows: <br />(a) All commercial/industrial, multi -family, and non-residential sites adjacent to the <br />following roadway segments• <br />1. Oslo Road east of I-95. <br />2. "North" US Highway 1 between the Roseland Corridor and Wabasso Corridor <br />boundaries. <br />.."Central' US,'Hi'ghway 1 between the Wabasso Corridor boundary and the <br />Vero.
