ORDINANCE NO, 2001-003 <br />(i) Landscape buffer along commercial/residential border: Within the <br />corridor, where compatibility buffer yards are required by Chapter <br />911 regulations, two (2) additional understory trees per thirty (30) <br />lineal feet of required buffer strip shall be provided. <br />1. Along the front, sides and rear of buildings, the following <br />foundation planting landscape strips shall be provided in <br />accordance with the building height: <br />Building Height Foundation Planting Strip Depth' <br />Up to 12' high 5' depth <br />12' to 25' high 10' depth <br />Over 25' high 15' depth <br />'-A distance measured perpendicular to the building, from the foundation outward <br />2. Within such foundation planting landscape strips, the following <br />landscaping shall be provided; <br />a. Forty (40) percent of the foundation perimeter (excluding <br />entrance ways and overhead doors) along all building faces <br />shall be landscaped, as follows: <br />*For buildings up to 12' in height <br />Minimum planting area depth: 5' <br />Minimum plant material required: * 1 palm tree or appropriate canopy tree for <br />every 10 lineal feet of planting strip <br />(clustered) <br />f\curdev\north barrier isl task force\north barrier island corridor plan Page 22 <br />(L Foundation <br />Foundation <br />shall <br />be <br />required <br />as <br />plantings: <br />plantings <br />stated below <br />for non-residential <br />buildings. <br />1.
