<br />TUESDAY, DECEMBER 17th 1929.
<br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, met at the
<br />Court House in Vero Beach, at 10 o'clockjA.M.Tue,sday, December 17th.1929, with the
<br />following members of the Board present: Albert O.Helseth, chairman; J.D.Yongue; J.W.
<br />LaBruce; T.J.P.Hamilton. Absent John H.Atkin. Also present miles Warren, Clerk. and
<br />Clark S. Rice, 'Meriff. .
<br />The Notary Public bond of B.H.Phillips, in the sun of $500.00 with the American
<br />Surety Company, a corporation, of New York was approved.
<br />The Notary Public bond of Helen S. Luly in the sum of 0500.00 with the Columbia
<br />Casualty Company, a corporation, as surety was approved.
<br />The contract, heretofore authorized, with the Texas Corporation to supply the
<br />County with gasoline for the year 1930 was executed by the Chairman and Clerk.
<br />The bond of Gordon R. Olmstead, as Tax Collector in the sum. of $20,000.00 with
<br />Columbia Casualty Company, a corporation, as surety was approved. This bond being a
<br />supplemental bond in addition to the original bond heretofore approved.
<br />The following resolution was adopted:
<br />WHERMAS, this Board has entered into a supplemental contract with Pauly Jail
<br />Building Company, supplementary to jail contract dated September 18th 1929; and,
<br />WHEREAS, by the terms of such supplemental contract the time for the performance
<br />of the contract of September 19th, 1929, is extended, with the result that the bond
<br />of the Contractor will be continued effective longer than first contemplated; and
<br />!iRERE , it is the opinion of this Board. that this Board slmuld pay any additional
<br />premium required on such bond;
<br />THEREFORE, be it Resolved that any additional premium required to be paid to the
<br />Fidelity & Casualty Co., of New York on its bond of the Pauly Jail Building Company,be
<br />paid by this Boaid.
<br />Upon being put to a vote the same was unanimously adopted.
<br />It was ordered that the Vero Beach Press -Journal publish the .Auditors report in
<br />full, the Board agreeing to pay $20.00 from the Publicity Fund on account of such.
<br />T.A.'Stewa.rt, Receiver of the Vero Beach Bank & Trust Company filed a financial
<br />report with the Clerk with respect to County Funds as followss
<br />December 12, 1929.

<br />The County Engineer filed his report on road gest of Wabasso 2 that he was hereto-
<br />fore ordered to estimate cost of construction, and etc., and same was accepted and it
<br />was ordered that warrant be issued from the Road Fund for $933.00 payable to the India
<br />River Citrus Growers Company, upon the execution and delivery of deed to this road.
<br />It was ordered that the Clerk draw warrant for the purchase of "X" license tags f
<br />trucks and carsand motorcycle in County use.
