i <br />" <br />EQUIPMENT WAS ORDERED AND WORK WAS PROGRESSING. <br />AT THAT TIME THE COUNTY CONSULTING ENGINEER WROTE <br />MID FLORIDA UTILITIES 'REGARDING THE COUNTY GOING INTO A COUNTY- <br />WIDE SEWER AND WATER SYSTEM AND POSSIBLY TAKING OVER THIS <br />UTILITY SYSTEM, THE EQUIPMENT AND PARTS THAT WERE ORDERED WERE <br />CANCELLED. IN MAY 1973 THE COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR STATED THAT WE SHOULD <br />GO AHEAD WITH OUR PLANS BECAUSE THERE WOULD.BE SOME DELAY IN THE <br />COUNTY -WIDE SEWER AND WATER PROGRAM. AT THAT TIME, THE EQUIPMENT <br />AND PARTS WERE REORDERED. <br />MR. WRIGHT CONTINUED THAT HE WOULD GIVE HIS ASSURANCE <br />THAT AFTER THE NEW EQUIPMENT WAS INSTALLED THAT MID FLORIDA WOULD <br />PROVIDE WATER THAT IS SATISFACTORY. <br />COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR JACK G. .JENNINGS ASKED TO BE <br />SWORN IN. <br />ATTORNEY BURICH SWORE MR. JENNINGS IN AND MR. JENNINGS <br />STATED HE WAS THE COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR WORKING DIRECTLY UNDER <br />THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AND INFORMED THE BOARD THAT MtD <br />FLORIDA UTILITIES HAS HAD A HISTORY OF POOR WATER ON FILE WITH THE <br />.DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH. MR. JENNINGS PROCEEDED TO GO THROUGH HIS <br />FILE AND THERE WERE MANY COMPLAINTS FROM RESIDENTS REGARDING THE <br />POOR QUALITY OF WATER, A LETTER WAS WRITTEN TO MR. WRIGHT ASKING <br />HIM TO ATTEND A COUNTY COMMISSION MEETING ON OCTOBER 11, 1972. AT <br />THAT MEETING ALL COMPLAINTS WERE DISCUSSED AND MR. WRIGHT OUTLINED <br />THE STEPS MID FLORIDA UTILITIES WOULD TAKE TO SERVE THEIR CUSTOMERS <br />SATISFACTORY WATER. THE BOARD ASKED MR. WRIGHT TO PUT THESE <br />IMPROVEMENTS DISCUSSED AND A TIME SCHEDULE FOR COMPLETION OF THESE <br />IMPROVEMENTS IN THE FORM OF A LETTER.
