THE CHAIRMAN THEN ASKED <br />FOR RECEIPT OF BIDS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE NOTICE AND THE FOLLOWING <br />SEALED BIDS WERE RECEIVED, OPENED AND READ. <br />WILLIAM HENSICK &_SONS $141,600.00 <br />ALTERNATE "A" 15,800.00 <br />ALTERNATE "B" 6,600.00 <br />HEDIN CONSTRUCTING COMPANY $136,400.00 <br />ALTERNATE "A" 14,800.00 <br />ALTERNATE "B" 5,500.00 <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER DRITENBAS, SECONDED BY <br />COMMISSIONER SIEBERT, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED THAT THE <br />BIDS•BE SUBMITTED TO THE BUILDING COMMITTEE AND THE ARCHITECT <br />FOR REVIEW AND EVALUATION. <br />THE ATTORNEY ADVISED THE BOARD THAT A SUIT HAS BEEN <br />FILED IN CIRCUIT COURT BY EISWELL CORPORATION AGAINST THE COUNTY <br />REGARDING THIS BOARD'S DECISION TO DENY THE REZONING OF ,'HIS PROPERTY. <br />ATTORNEY BURCH EXPLAINED THAT THIS IS THE PROPERTY THAT <br />WAS OWNED BY JONNIE DAHLSTROM, WHO HAD APPLIED FOR REZONING AND <br />WAS DENIED BY THIS BOARD ON SEPTEMBER 19, 1973. THAT PROPERTY HAS <br />BEEN SOLD TO EISWELL CORPORATION. <br />THE ATTORNEY STATED THAT GEORGE COLLINS, ATTORNEY AND <br />PARTNER IN THE LAW FIRM OF BURCH, COLLINS AND PADGET WAS THE ATTORNEY <br />REPRESENTING THE EISWELL CORPORATION IN THE TRANSACTION OF PURCHASING <br />THIS PROPERTY. ATTORNEY BURCH FURTHER STATED THAT THIS MIGHT BE <br />CONSIDERED A CONFLICT OF INTEREST AND, IN HIS OPINION, IT WOULD BE <br />WRONG FOR HIM TO REPRESENT THE COUNTY IN THIS SUIT. <br />THE ATTORNEY STATED THAT THIS SUIT WAS FILED ON OCTOBER STH, <br />AND WE HAVE UNTIL THE 28TH OF OCTOBER TO FILE AN ANSWER. <br />THE BOARD AGREED TO TURN THIS MATTER OVER TO COMMISSIONER <br />BOGOSIAN AND ATTORNEY BURCH FOR FURTHER INVESTIGATION AND REPORT <br />AT THE -NEXT MEETING. <br />® 39 <br />OCT 111973 18 <br />
