DICKINSON, JR. 32304 <br />COMPTROLLER OF FLORIDA October 1, 1973 <br />TO THE CHAIRMAN OF THE <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />ADDRESSED <br />Dear Sir: <br />You are hereby notified that Chapter 73-349, Laws of Florida, <br />has amended Chapter 218, Florida Statutes, providing that <br />each county officer shall make an annual report to the Board <br />of County Commissioners within fifteen days of the close of <br />his fiscal year. Such report shall specify in detail the pur- <br />poses, character and amount of all official expenses and the <br />amount of net income or unexpended budget balance as of the close <br />of -the fiscal year. All officers shall prepare such reports and <br />subscribe under oath as to their accuracy and propriety. <br />Said law further requires that the Board of County Commissioners <br />shall, on the sixteenth day following the close of the fiscal <br />year, notify the Governor of the failure of any county officer <br />to comply with the provision of this section. Such notification <br />.shall specify the name of the officer and the office held by him <br />at the time of such failure and shall subject said officer to <br />suspension from office at the Governor's discretion. <br />The information contained in the reports of the various county <br />officials will be incorporated in the Board of County Commissioners' <br />Annual Financial Report to the Department of Banking and Finance. <br />Assuring you of our cooperation in this and all matters, I remain <br />Sincerely yours, <br />FRED 0.
