O`MALLEY, OWNER OF DODGERTOWN PROPERTY <br />APPEARED TO DISCUSS WITH THE BOARD A DRAFT OF A COVENANT THAT WAS <br />PREPARED BY MR. .JACOBS, AT THE REQUEST OF THE BOARD AT THE <br />JANUARY 24, 1973 MEETING, THIS COVENANT, IF APPROVED BY THE BOARD <br />WOULD ALLOW THIS LAND TO BE TAXED AS RECREATIONAL LAND AS STATED UNDER <br />FLORIDA STATUTE 19.3-501. <br />THIS COVENANT WAS PREPARED FOR A 10 YEAR PERIOD AND <br />WOULD ALLOW THE LAND TO BE USED BY THE LOS ANGELES DODGERS FOR <br />%WEEKS OF THE YEAR FOR SPRING TRAINING AND WOULD BE AVAILABLE <br />TO THE COUNTY FOR THE REMAINING PERIOD OF TIME FOR OUTDOOR <br />RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES. <br />AFTER MUCH DISCUSSION THE BOARD REFERRED THIS BACK TO <br />THE COMMITTEE, CONSISTING OF MR. .JACOBS, ATTORNEY BURCH AND <br />COMMISSIONER SIEBERT, FOR FURTHER STUDY. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER SIEBERT, SECONDED BY <br />COMMISSIONER DRITENBAS, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED THE <br />FOLLOWING AGREEMENT AND AUTHORIZED THE SIGNATURE OF THE CHAIRMAN. <br />+, <br />10 <br />
