MCCULLERS PRESENTED PETITIONS AGAINST <br />THIS SYSTEM SIGNED BY 2,624 INDIAN RIVER COUNTY RESIDENTS. THESE <br />PETITIONS WERE PLACED ON FILE IN THE CLERK`S OFFICE, <br />ATTORNEY BURCH INFORMED THE BOARD OF A REQUEST FOR TAX <br />EXEMPTION ON A PIECE OF PROPERTY WHICH INCLUDES A HOME, THAT WILL <br />BE GIVEN TO THE NATURE CONSERVANCY STATE ASSOCIATION WITH THE <br />STIPULATION THAT THIS PROPERTY WILL BE KEPT IN ITS NATURAL STATE, <br />THE ATTORNEY WILL INVESTIGATE THIS FURTHER. <br />ATTORNEY BURCH EXPLAINED TO THE BOARD THAT THE REPORT <br />TO THE OFFICE OF REVENUE SHARING FOR THE ENTITLEMENT PERIOD <br />BEGINNING JULY 1, 1973 TO JUNE 30, 1974 REGARDING THE COUNTY'S <br />PLANS TO EXPEND ITS REVENUE SHARING ALLOCATION, IN THE AMOUNT OF <br />$289,968.00, NEEDS TO BE CORRECTED AND TO BE READVERTISED, AS PER <br />THE LETTERS RECEIVED FROM THE OFFICE OF REVENUE SHARING. <br />IT WAS THE BOARD'S DECISION TO ALLOCATE THIS MONEY FOR <br />LAND ACQUISITION AND RECREATION FACILITIES. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER MASSEY, SECONDED BY <br />COMMISSIONER SIEBERT, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY AUTHORIZED THE <br />ADVERTISEMENT FOR A PUBLIC HEARING OF A CORRECTED REVENUE SHARING <br />PLANNED USE REPORT FOR JULY 1, 1973 TO JUNE 30, 1974, IN THE AMOUNT <br />OF $289,968.00. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER SIEBERT, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />MASSEY, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY AUTHORIZED THE ATTORNEY TO PROCEED <br />WITH THE PAPER WORK INVOLVED IN ORDER TO PAY TAX CERTIFICATES HELD <br />IN THE ESTATE OF JOE L. BURTON, IN THE:AMOUNT OF $1,497.71. <br />ATTORNEY BURCH INFORMED THE BOARD OF A ROAD IN SUN ACRES <br />SUBDIVISION THAT WAS DEEDED TO THE COUNTY, BUT NEVER ACCEPTED BY THE <br />COUNTY. THIS ROAD HAS BEEN OFF THE,TAX ROLLS SINCE OCTOBER 28, 1964. <br />THIS ROAD WAS NEVER USED AS A ROAD AND HAS BEEN MAINTAINED BY THE <br />OWNER OF THE ABUTTING PROPERTY. <br />13 -- <br />OCT 241973 FAct51 <br />
