MASSEY, VICE CHAIRMAN: <br />WILLARD W. SIEBERT, JR.; JACK U. DRITENBAS AND RICHARD P'1 BOGOSIAN. <br />ALSO ?RESENT WERE PAUL D. BURCH, ATTORNEY TO THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS: ROY KIRKLAND AND ELIZABETH FORLANI, DEPUTY CLERKS AND <br />L. S. THOMAS, FINANCIAL COORDINATOR, JACK G. JENNINGS, COUNTY <br />ADMINISTRATOR WAS ABSENT, <br />ALSO PRESENT WAS JAMES BEINDORF,'COUNTY CONSULTING ENGI]NEER. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED THE MEETING TO ORDER AND STATED THAT <br />THIS SPECIAL MEETING WAS CALLED TO REVIEW THE RESULTS OF A MEETING <br />HELD TUESDAY, OCTOBER 30, 1973, OF THE JOINT CITY -COUNTY SEWER AND <br />WATER STUDY COMMITTEE, REGARDING A JOINT SEWAGE TREATMENT OPERATION. <br />COMMISSIONER BOGOSIAN, A MEMBER OF THAT COMMITTEE INFORMED <br />THE BOARD THAT THE ORIGINAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF VERO BEACH <br />AND INDIAN RIVER COUNTY THAT THE BOARD ADOPTED ON JANUARY 11, 1973, <br />WAS REVIEWED AND DISCUSSED ALONG WITH PROPOSED ANNEXES, THIS <br />MATERIAL WAS THEN FORWARDED TO THE COUNTY CONSULTING ENGINEERS AND <br />COMMISSIONERS FOR THEIR REVIEW AND RECOMMENDATIONS. AS OF THIS <br />MORNING, DR. DAVID SMITH IN GAINESVILLE HAD NOT RECEIVED THIS <br />MATERIAL. <br />COMMISSIONER BOGOSIAN FURTHER STATED THAT THE CITY OF <br />VERO BEACH IS FACED WITH A NOVEMBER IS, 1973 DEADLINE IN REACHING <br />AN AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY IN ORDER TO OBTAIN A GRANT FROM U.S. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY AND REQUESTED THAT IF THE COUNTY <br />ENGINEERS SEE ANY OBSTACLES, THAT THEY GET BACK TO THE COMMITTEE <br />SO ADDITIONAL MEETINGS CAN BE SET UP, BEFORE THE NEXT COUNTY COMMISSION <br />MEETING OF NOVEMBER 7, 1973. <br />
