THOMAS, FINANCIAL CO- <br />ORDINATOR INFORMED THE BOARD OF THE PROGRESS BEING MADE ON SECURING <br />LISTINGS OF BEACHFRONT AND RIVERFRONT PROPERTY THAT ARE FOR SALE. <br />COMMISSIONER MASSEY STATED THATj.AT THIS TIME, THE BOARD HAS <br />RECEIVED LISTINGS OF 18 PARCELS OF LAND FOR THEIR CONSIDERATION. <br />COMMISSIONER MASSEY STATED THAT THE BOARD HAS TO <br />NOW DETERMINE WHAT TYPE OF PARCELS THEY ARE MOST INTERESTED IN <br />PURCHASING; LARGE PARCELS OR SMALL PARCELS TO BE USED AS BEACH <br />ACCESS, <br />GERMAN SUAREZ APPEARED AND MADE HIS PRESENTATION OF <br />A PARCEL CONSISTING OF 200 ACRES OF OCEANFRONT AND RIVERFRONT <br />PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE SOUTH PORTION OF THE COUNTY. <br />DON WILCOX APPEARED AND MADE HIS PRESENTATION OF <br />28 ACRES OF 900 FEET OF OCEANFRONT PROPERTY ALSO IN THE SOUTH <br />PORTION OF THE COUNTY. <br />GEORGE BLOIS AND BART COLLARD APPEARED AND MADE <br />THEIR PRESENTATION OF 14 ACRES AND 300 FEET OF OCEANFRONT <br />PROPERTY IN THE SOUTHERN PORTION OF THE COUNTY. <br />AFTER MUCH DISCUSSION THE BOARD AGREED TO CONSIDER <br />TWO LARGE PARCELS AND TWO SMALL PARCELS. ONE OF EACH TO BE <br />LOCATED IN THE SOUTH PORTION OF THE COUNTY AND ONE OF EACH <br />IN THE NORTH PORTION OF THE COUNTY. <br />WILLIAM BIDLINGMAYER APPEARED REQUESTING THE BOARD S <br />APPROVAL TO TAX EXEMPT HIS 35 ACRES OF LAND. MR. BIDLINGMAYER <br />WOULD LIKE TO DEED HIS 35 ACRES OF UNDEVELOPED LAND TO THE <br />NATURE CONSERVANCY STATE ASSOCIATION. THIS WOULD ASSURE MR. <br />BIDLINMAYER THAT HIS LAND WOULD BE KEPT IN ITS NATURAL STATE, <br />IF THIS IS APPROVED THE NATURE CONSERVANCY WILL ASSIGN MR. <br />BIDLINGMAYER AS CUSTODIAN OF THE PROPERTY AND HE AND HIS WIFE <br />WILL BE ALLOWED TO LIVE THERE UNTIL THEIR DEATH. AT THAT TIME <br />THE NATURE CONSERVANCY WILL ASSIGN AS CUSTODIAN OF THE LAND, <br />THE LOCAL GOVERNING'AGENCY OR AN ORGANIZATION SUCH AS THE <br />AUDUBON SOCIETY. <br />MR. BIDLINGMAYER STATED THAT THERE ARE AREAS IN FLORIDA <br />
