THE ADMINISTRATOR INFORMED THE BOARD OF A PROBLEM <br />OF UP -KEEP AND MAINTENANCE OF A COUNTY OWNED BUILDING USED BY <br />THE ROSELAND WOMEN'S CLUB. <br />LUCY COOK REPRESENTING THE ROSELAND WOMEN'S CLUB <br />APPEARED REQUESTING REAFFIRMATION BY THE BOARD OF THE <br />CUSTODIANSHIP OF THIS BUILDING WHICH, ACCORDING TO MRS. <br />COOK, THE BOARD OF COU NfY COMMISSIONERS GRANTED TO THE CLUB <br />SOMETIME BETWEEN 1956 AND 1959. MRS, COOK STATED THAT THE <br />CLUB IS USED FOR MEETINGS BY A VARIETY OF LOCAL GROUPS IN <br />ROSELAND AT NO CHARGE. IF THERE IS A PARTY THEN THERE IS A <br />SET CHARGE. MRS. COOK FURTHER STATED THAT THE VETERANS <br />OF FOREIGN WARS USE THIS BUILDING TWO NIGHTS A WEEK FOR <br />MEETINGS AND EVERY FRIDAY NIGHT FOR BINGO. THEY ARE CHARGED <br />$42.00 PER MONTH AND ARE ASKING FOR AN INCREASE TO $75.00 <br />BECAUSE OF THE INCREASE IN EXPENSES AND WEAR AND TEAR ON THE <br />BUILDING. <br />FRED GRENIER REPRESENTING THE V.F.W.'S STATED THAT <br />IT IS THEIR FEELINGS THAT THEY ARE BEING OVERCHARGED WHEN ASKED <br />TO PAY OVER $42.00 PER MONTH. <br />COMMISSIONER SIEBERT STATED THAT IF THIS BUILDING <br />IS USED BY THE PUBLIC, IT SHOULD BE PUT IN.GOOD CONDITION. <br />THE BOARD AGREED THAT THE FOLLOWING STEPS SHOULD <br />BE TAKEN: <br />1. THE MINUTES RESEARCHED TO CONFIRM THE ORIGINAL.GRANTING <br />OF THE CUSTODIANSHIP TO THE ROSELAND WOMEN'S CLUB. <br />2. COMMISSIONER MASSEY INSPECT THE BUILDING TO DETERMINE <br />WHAT REPAIRS ARE NECESSARY AND REPORT TO THE AD- <br />MINISTRATOR. <br />3. THE ADMINISTRATOR PREPARE A COST ESTIMATE TO REPAIR <br />THIS BUILDING AND REPORT BACK TO THE BOARD. <br />4. A MEETING WITH THE COUNTY ATTORNEY, COUNTY ADM INISTRATOR, <br />A MEMBER OF THE ROSELAND WOMEN'S CLUB AND A MEMBER OF THE <br />V.F.W.
