1. MR. STEWART STATED THAT THE HOSPITAL IS NOT REQUIRED <br />BY LAW TO HAVE BUILDING PERMITS OR INSPECTIONS, BUT THEY <br />FEEL THAT BUILDING PERMITS AND INSPECTIONS COULD BE AN <br />ADDED ASSURANCE OF HAVING A WELL CONSTRUCTED BUILDING. <br />MR. STEWART REQUESTED A WAIVER OR REDUCTION IN THE <br />BUILDING PERMIT FEE WHICH WOULD BE APPROXIMATELY $3,000.00. <br />AFTER MUCH DISCUSSION, MR. SORENSON WITHDREW THIS <br />REQUEST REGARDING A WAIVER OR REDUCTION IN BUILDING PERMIT <br />FEES. <br />?. ' MR. STEWART THEN QUESTIONED IF THE COUNTY HAS ANY <br />INTENTION OF SUPPLYING THE NEW HOSPITAL FACILITIES WITH <br />SEWER AND WATER. THE BOARD AGREED THAT A MEETING BE <br />SCHEDULED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE TO INCLUDE THE ADMINISTRATOR, <br />COUNTY ATTORNEY, COUNTY,CITY AND HOSPITAL ENGINEERS AND <br />THE CITY OF VERO BEACH UTILITY DIRECTOR. MR. SORENSON <br />WILL MAKE THE ARRANGEMENTS FOR THIS MEETING. <br />3. THE COUNTY HAD, AT ITS MAY 30, 1972 MEETING, EARMARKED <br />$146,001.00 FOR THE HOSPITAL FROM FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING <br />FUNDS. MR. SORENSON STATED THAT THE HOSPITAL WOULD LIKE THE <br />MONEY NOW OR AN INDICATION FROM THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />AS TO WHEN THE HOSPITAL WILL RECEIVE IT. <br />THE BOARD AGREED TO KEEP THIS MONEY IN ABEYANCE; IF <br />THE HOSPITAL CAN SHOW THAT THERE IS A NEED FOR THE MONEY <br />IT WILL BE GIVEN TO THEM, <br />DEWEY WALKER, ZONING DIRECTOR, APPEARED WITH LOWELL E. ODOM <br />WHO IS REQUESTING A SPECIAL EXCEPTION PERMIT TO BUILD ON PROPERTY <br />-'.THAT MR. ODOM OWNS AND IN .JANUARY, 1074 HE DIVIDED IT INTO TWO PARCELS. <br />THIS PROPERTY IS NOT LOCATED IN A PLATTED SUBDIVISION AND DOES NOT <br />BORDER ON A PUBLIC ROAD, <br />IN ORDER FOR MR. ODOM TO BUILD ON THESE TWO PIECES <br />OF PROPERTY, THE BOARD AGREED IT WOULD BE NECESSARY FOR HIM TO <br />WORK WITH A SURVEYOR, WHO WOULD INVESTIGATE HAVING THIS AREA <br />SUBDIVIDED IN ORDER THAT IT CONFORMS TO SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS <br />FOR A PRIVATE SUBDIVISION. <br />r <br />- 3 - <br />00.OK Ii9 FuE281 <br />
