UU. Special Wastes means Solid Wastes that can require <br />special handling and management, including, but not limited to, <br />white goods, waste tires, used oil, lead -acid batteries, <br />Construction and Demolition Debris, ash residue, and biological <br />wastes. <br />Vv. Trash means accumulations of refuse, rubbish, <br />paper, rags, wooden or paper boxes and containers, sweepings, <br />broken toys, tools, equipment, utensils, and other accumulations of <br />a similar nature, but shall not include Yard Trash or Garbage. <br />WW. White Goods means and includes inoperative and <br />discarded refrigerators, ranges, water heaters, freezers, and other <br />similar domestic and commercial large appliances. <br />XX. Yard Trash means vegetative matter resulting from <br />landscaping maintenance and land clearing operations. <br />SECTION SEVEN: FRANCHISES FOR COLLECTION OF REGULATED SOLID <br />WASTE. <br />A. After April 30, 2003, it shall be unlawful for any <br />Person to Collect, transport, process, or dispose of Regulated <br />Solid Waste within the County for profit unless such Person's <br />activities are exempt from the provisions of this Ordinance or <br />authorized by a Franchise granted by the District. <br />Be Any Franchises granted by the District prior to <br />April 30, 2003, including but not limited to the exclusive <br />Franchises granted by the District on September 3, 2002 to Republic <br />Services of Florida, LP (d/b/a Treasure Coast Refuse) and Waste <br />Management Inc. of Florida for Residential Service in the <br />Residential Franchise Area; Residential Recyclables Service in the <br />Residential Recyclables Franchise Area; Commercial Service; and <br />Collection of Construction and Demolition Debris in any size <br />Commercial, Container shall be subject to the provisions of this <br />Ordinance, except Sections 11 and 12. <br />C. After April 30, 2003, any permit granted by the <br />District pursuant to Section 204.31 of the County Code shall not be <br />sufficient to authorize the collection, transportation, processing, <br />or disposal of Regulated Solid Waste within the County for profit. <br />10 <br />
