y ' <br />r <br />AND' -THE BOARD AUTHORIZED THE ABOVE BE PLACED"ON THE MARCH 9TH, 1976 <br />PRESIDENTIAL PREFERENCE PRIMARY BALLOT. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 76-8 <br />WHEREAS, THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA have prepared a draft of a <br />TAXING DISTRICT for the entire County, including the municipalities, <br />conditioned upon the municipalities approving their boundaries being <br />incorporated within the TAXING DISTRICT; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Vero Beach has informally indicated <br />to the BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIANRIVER, COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA that the City did not want to be included within the boundaries <br />of the TAXING DISTRICT; and <br />WHEREAS, the greatest population center in Indian River County <br />is located within the boundaries and peripheral area of the City of Vero <br />Beach; and <br />WHEREAS, THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS have <br />determined that the residence of Indian River County should have some <br />input into the Board's final decision regarding the function. of County <br />Government providing recreational services; and <br />WHEREAS, for the purposes of allowing the County residents to <br />provide input to THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS, an advisory <br />question will appear upon the Ballot of the.March 9th Primary Election; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE I.T RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF <br />COUN'T'Y COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that <br />the following question will be on the Ballot for the March 9, 1976 Primary, <br />for the purposes of allowing the residents .of Indian River County, Florida <br />to give their views for THE 'BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS consid- <br />eration regarding organized recreation within Indian River County, Florida, <br />the wording of said 13allot will be as follows: <br />
