No person who knows or who should know ! <br />the nature of such wastes shall dispose of such wastes illegally I <br />or in the Landfill <br />With regard to lead -acid batteries, all businesses or persons who <br />sell such batteries at retail shall accept lead -acid batteries as <br />trade-ins pursuant to Florida Administrative Code Rule 17-701.040 <br />(9) and insure that they are recycled or disposed of in <br />accordance with the laws, rules and regulations of The State of <br />Florida. <br />It is the responsibility of all citizens and businesses of Indian <br />River County to segregate yard trash from their waste stream for <br />i'J _F2 disposal or processing other than placement in the Class I <br />i.� Landfill. Owners of single family residences may transport <br />segregated yard trash to the Landfill or the Recycling and <br />Collection Centers for proper disposal, or contract the services <br />4 .. of a franchised waste hauler to transport yard trash to the <br />Landfill. All other generators or transporters of yard trash are <br />�. to insure that it is segregated from all other waste and either <br />transported to the Landfill for disposal by the SWDD in <br />F. accordance with current law, or recycled or disposed of by other <br />methods approved by The Department of Environmental Protection. <br />Section IX: credit Accounts <br />Credit accounts through The SWDD for other fees, rates and <br />;f charges may be provided upon submittal of a satisfactorily <br />€: completed credit application form "Exhibit C" and posting of a <br />cash or surety bond utilizing the form attached as Exhibit D. <br />h <br />The bond shall be in an amount equivalent to 6o days of charges <br />or anticipated charges averaged over a six month period, but not <br />1 less than $1,000.00. <br />All credit accounts shall be subject to the following: <br />1. Credit shall be allowed up to but not exceeding the <br />amount of the cash or surety bond. <br />2. If the credit account is not paid in full within <br />fifteen days past date of invoice, a late charge of <br />1.5% a month will be charged. <br />3. If not paid within 30 days, credit is stopped. <br />4. If not paid within 45 days, credit will be <br />discontinued. <br />5. If not paid within 60 days, the Cash or Surety Bond <br />shall be utilized to satisfy the payment of the amount <br />due including interest or any cost associated with <br />collection. Collection of any remaining monies due <br />shall be pursued as provided by law. <br />6. An application fee will be charged upon the opening of <br />all Landfill charge accounts as provided in Attachment <br />2 of this Resolution. <br />�f <br />I <br />i <br />' <br />i <br />`viii <br />I <br />."c <br />
