Brown <br /> Director, Office of Man,?nty,C, <br /> Budget <br /> Date: November 30, 2004 <br /> Subject: Miscellaneous Budget Amendment 003 <br /> Description and Conditions <br /> The attached budget amendment appropriates funding necessary for the following: <br /> 1. The Housing Authority is having difficulty with the total expenses relating to hurricanes <br /> Frances and Jeanne. Some of the housing units have sustained damage, and the Housing' <br /> Authority has incurred substantial expenses to-make necessary repairs. Due to these factors, <br /> the housing authority has requested assistance .from the County in paying the landfill <br /> assessment for this year. The attached entry appropriates funding from General Fund <br /> contingencies in the amount of$8;542. <br /> 2. Indian River County libraries have received donations totaling $9,009. The attached entry <br /> appropriates these donated funds. <br /> 3. On July 20, 2004, the Board of Commissioners approved a contribution of'$2;500 to the St. <br /> Johns River- Alliance. The attached entry appropriates funding from General Fund <br /> contingencies. <br /> 4. Indian River County has received two grants from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban <br /> Development (HUD). The attached entry appropriates these grant funds. <br /> 5. The State of Florida Department of Revenue has amended the Property Appraiser's budget <br /> for FY 2004/05.
