RESOLUTION NO. 2005- 03 <br />A Resolution of <br />the Board of County Commissioners <br />of Indian River County, Florida, <br />for Approval of the 2005 <br />Revised Indian River County <br />Unified Local Mitigation Strategy <br />2. 2 2. 05,— <br />F <br />WHEREAS, <br />5,--- <br />WHEREAS, on November 16, 1999, Indian River County's Unified Local Mitigation <br />Strategy (LMS) was adopted by Resolution #99-125; and <br />WHEREAS, the LMS plan requires periodic updates to comply with state and federal <br />policies should Indian River County apply for Hazard Mitigation Grant Program funds (HMGP); <br />and <br />WHEREAS, due to Hurricane Frances and Hurricane Jeanne, Indian River County is <br />eligible for HMGP funds provided by FEMA; and <br />WHEREAS, the Local Mitigation Strategy has been revised and the Federal Emergency <br />Management Agency (FEMA) has approved all modifications and is now ready for approval by <br />the Board. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, that: <br />1. .The Local Mitigation Strategy (a copy of which is located in the Clerk to the Board's <br />Office) is hereby adopted as the official document for inclusion in the State-wide Hazard <br />Mitigation Strategy. <br />2. The 2005 Revised Indian River County Unified Local Mitigation Strategy Plan will be <br />forwarded to each municipality for their formal approval. <br />The Resolution was moved for adoption by Commissioner Neuberger . The <br />motion was seconded by Commissioner Bowden , and, upon being put to a vote, the <br />vote was as follows: <br />Chairman Thomas S. Lowther Aye <br />Vice Chairman Arthur R.
