MR. ANDERSON INFORMED THE BOARD THAT THE SCHOOL <br />BOARD HAD ASKED THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO SEND <br />. A REPRESENTATIVE TO THE NEXT SCHOOL BOARD MEETING ON JULY ETH <br />TO DISCUSS THIS PROBLEM <br />MRS. KRAMER SAID THE SCHOOL BOARD WOULD LIKE THE BOARD <br />OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO REQUEST THE D.O.T. TO MOVE THE <br />CROSS-OVER EITHER EAST OR WEST AWAY FROM THE SCHOOL. SHE POINTED <br />OUT THAT OSCEOLA IS AN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AND SHE FELT A <br />DIVERGENCE AT THIS SPOT WOULD BE VERY CONFUSING TO YOUNG <br />STUDENTS, <br />AFTER FURTHER DISCUSSION, THE BOARD AGREED THAT THEY <br />WOULD LIKE TO WAIT UNTIL AFTER THESCHOOL BOARD MEETS WITH <br />DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION REPRESENTATIVES TO DISCUSS THIS <br />PROBLEM BEFORE THEY TAKE ANY ACTION. <br />ADMINISTRATOR JENNINGS INFORMED THE BOARD THAT THE <br />DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION NEEDED A RESOLUTION FROM THE <br />BOARD BEFORE THEY COULD TAKEANY ACTION IN REGARD TO DESIGNATING <br />THE SIDEWALKS ALONG STATE ROAD 60 BETWEEN 20TH AVENUE AND <br />KINGS HIGHWAY AS CLASS III BIKEWAYS TO BE USED JOINTLY BY <br />PEDESTRIANS AND BICYCLISTS. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER NITENBAS, SECONDED BY <br />COMMISSIONER MASSEY, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED RESOLUTION <br />No. 74-52 AS FOLLOWS: <br />,or <br />JUN aooK ZO PAGE198 <br />
