RESOLUTION NO. 2008-.201
<br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN
<br />RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING CERTAIN OF THE EXISTING FEES AND
<br />PROCEDURES FOUND IN PART A, LICENSE AND IMPOUNDMENT FEES, OF
<br />RESOLUTION 2006-005 RELATED TO THE ENFORCEMENT OF THE ANIMAL
<br />CONTROL ORDINANCE
<br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County ("Board"),
<br />pursuant to Florida Statutes sections 125.01 and 828.27, has adopted an animal control
<br />ordinance, codified in Chapter 302 of The Code of Indian River County, that allows the
<br />Board to establish certain fees and procedures related to the animal control ordinance;
<br />WHEREAS, the amendments to Chapter 302 of The Code of Indian River County,
<br />adopted following a duly -noticed public hearing held on December 16, 2008, that allow
<br />three year licenses to be purchased for dogs and cats effective on February 9, 2009
<br />require amendments to Part A 1a, License and Impoundment Fees, of Resolution 2006-
<br />005, adopted January 17, 2006.
<br />WHEREAS, effective on February 9, 2009, the LICENSE FEES established in Part A
<br />1a, License And Impoundment Fees, of Resolution 2006-005 are hereby superseded by
<br />this Resolution; and
<br />WHEREAS, effective on the adoption date of this Resolution, being December 16,
<br />2008, the PROCEDURES AND ADDITIONAL FEES established in Part A 1e, License
<br />And Impoundment Fees, of Resolution 2006-005 are hereby superseded by this
<br />Resolution; and
<br />WHEREAS, on the adoption date of this Resolution, being December 16, 2008, all
<br />other fees, procedures and civil penalties established in Parts B and C of Resolution
<br />2006-005, and all remaining portions of Part A 1, License And Impoundment Fees, not
<br />otherwise amended by this Resolution, are hereby declared to remain in full force and
<br />effect and are not modified or superseded by this Resolution.
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
<br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA that:
<br />A. LICENSE AND IMPOUNDMENT FEES.
<br />1. The license and impoundment fees, penalties, and procedures shall be as follows:
<br />a. LICENSE FEES EFFECTIVE FEBRUARY 9,2009:
<br />1. Unsterilized female or male dog or cat, initial or one (1) year rabies vaccination
<br />and one (1) year license - $20.00 per year.
<br />2. Unsterilized female or male, dog or cat, three (3) year vaccination and three (3)
<br />year license - $50.00 [fee covers three (3) years].
