RESOLUTION No. 74_- 62 <br />WHEREAS, this Board has adopted a Mechanical Code <br />for Indian River <br />County, Florida; and, <br />WHEREAS, said Ordinance provides that this Board estab- <br />lish a schedule <br />of Fees for Permits issued under said Ordinance, <br />NOW, <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Indlan River County, Florida, that the following <br />schedule of Fees is -hereby established for the issuing of Mechanical <br />Permits; <br />MECHANICAL PERMIT FEES <br />(a) <br />For issuing each Permit $3.00 <br />(b) <br />AIR CONDITIONING AND REFRIGERATION <br />For the purpose of charging fees, <br />1 ton of refrigeration will equal <br />12,000 BTU's per hour or 1 H.P. total <br />connected loan <br />The first 5 tons or fractional part 5.00 <br />The next 5 tons up to and including <br />10 tons - per ton 1.00 <br />Over 10 tons - per ton additional 2.00 <br />All major repairs or replacements, <br />same fees as above. <br />WINDOW UNITS OR WALL UNITS(Where no <br />construction work is involved in the <br />building or duct work attached) <br />For the first 5 units - each 3.00 <br />For the next 50 units - each 2.00 <br />For the next 100units - each 1.50 <br />All others - each 1.00 <br />(c) <br />Fee for Re -Inspection. In case it <br />becomes necessary to make a re -inspec- <br />tion of a Heating, Ventilating, Air <br />Conditioning or Refrigeration System, <br />the installer of such equipment shall <br />pay a Re -Inspection Fee of Five ($5.00) <br />Dollars. <br />(d) <br />Temporary Operation Inspection Fee; For <br />inspecting a Heating, Ventilating, Re- <br />frigeration, or Air Conditioning System, <br />a fee of Five ($5.00) Dollars shall be <br />paid by the Contractor requesting such <br />'inspection. If the system is not approved <br />for temporary operation on the first inspection, <br />for each subsequent inspection for such pur- <br />pose, the usual Re -inspection Fee will be <br />charged. <br />(e) <br />In all buildings except one and two family <br />dwellings using self-contained Air Conditioning <br />Units less than two tons, the fee charged shall <br />be that for the total tonnage of all units <br />combined (see Paragraph (a) above for rate). <br />Minimum fee shall be Five ($5.00) Dollars. <br />(f) <br />Boilers based on BTU Input: <br />33,000 BTU (1 BHP) to 165,000 (5 BHP) $5.00 <br />165,001 BTU (5 -BHP) to 330,000 (10 BHP) 10.00 <br />r 4 <br />®®RR�Mpri��yy <br />g9�1U1� , <br />a181 <br />f4 <br />
