Sl�Zlo� <br />'7 -AI <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2005-076 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING ANIMAL <br />CONTROL OFFICER GERALD DIXON TO ISSUE CITATIONS. <br />WHEREAS, Section 828.27, Florida Statutes (2004), authorizes County Animal Control <br />Officers to issue citations for acts in violation of animal control ordinances; and <br />WHEREAS, Section 828.27(4)(a), Florida Statutes (2004), requires County -employed Animal <br />Control Officers to successfully complete a 40 -hour minimum standards training course having a <br />curriculum approved by the Florida Animal Control Associations; and <br />WHEREAS, Animal Control Officer Gerald Dixon successfully completed the minimum <br />standards training course at St. Petersburg College on April 22, 2005; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that Animal Control Officer Gerald Dixon is hereby <br />authorized to issue animal control citations, pursuant to Section 828.27, Florida Statutes (2004), and <br />Chapter 302 of The Code of Indian River County, Florida. <br />The Resolution was moved by Commissioner Neuberger , and the motion was <br />seconded by Commissioner Davi s and, upon being put to a vote, the vote was as <br />follows: <br />Commissioner Thomas S. Lowther Aye <br />Commissioner Arthur R. Neuberger Aye <br />Commissioner Sandra L. Bowden Aye <br />Commissioner Wesley S. Davis Aye <br />Commissioner Gary C.
