PRESENT WERE ALMA LEE Loy, CHAIRMAN, EDWARD F <br />J. MASSEY, VICE CHAIRMAN; .JACK L. DRITENBAS;`WILLARD W. SIEBERT, <br />SJR. AND RICHARD 'P. '.BOGOSIAN. ALSO PRESENT WERE .TACK G, k <br />.JENNINGS, COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR; L.$.THOMAS, COUNTY COORDINATOR; <br />PAUL D. BURCH, ATTORNEY TO THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS; <br />i <br />.JACK HOCKMAN AND ELIZABETH FORLANI, DEPUTY CLERKS. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED THE MEETING TO ORDER, <br />ROSEMARY RICHEY, SUPERVISOR OF ELECTIONS APPEARED <br />AND STATED THAT THE DUTY OF THE COUNTY CANVASSING BOARD, WHICH <br />CONSISTS OF HERSELF, THE COUNTY JUDGE AND THE CHAIRMAN OF THE <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS IS TO BE PRESENT AT THE COUNTING <br />OF THE ABSENTEE BALLOTS AND SINCE THE COUNTY DOES NOT HAVE <br />A PERMANENT PRESIDING COUNTY .JUDGE, UNDER STATUTE 102.141, <br />THE CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD CAN APPOINT A MEMBER OF THE BOARD <br />OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO SERVE IN HIS PLACE. <br />CHAIRMAN LOY AND COMMISSIONER SIEBERT WERE APPOINTED <br />TO SERVE ON THE COUNTY CANVASSING BOARD FOR THE FIRST PRIMARY <br />ELECTION. <br />MRS. RICHEY STATED THAT UNDER STATUTE 102.012 ALL <br />POLL WORKERS MUST ATTEND A "SCHOOL OF INSTRUCTION" BEFORE <br />EACH PRIMARY, GENERAL AND SPECIAL ELECTION AND SHE SUGGESTED <br />PAYMENT OF $3.00 BE APPROVED FOR THEIR TIME. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER SIEBERT, SECONDED BY <br />COMMISSIONER MASSEY, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY AUTHORIZED PAYMENT <br />TO THOSE POLL WORKERS WHO ATTEND THE "SCHOOL- OF INSTRUCTION" <br />HELD BEFORE EACH PRIMARY, GENERAL AND SPECIAL ELECTION. <br />"75 11 <br />l ,GE t <br />
