U <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER DRITENBAS, SECONDED BY <br />COMMISSIONER SIEBERT, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY AUTHORIZED ADVERTISEMENT <br />FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO MOBILE HOMES, <br />AMENDING INDIAN RIVER COUNTY ORDINANCE 71-2. <br />ATTORNEY BURCH INFORMED THE BOARD THAT DURING 1966 THE <br />COUNTY WELFARE DEPARTMENT PROVIDED ASSISTANCE FOR MATTIE C. INGRAM. <br />THE HEIRS HAVE NOW STATED THAT THEY WILL QUIT CLAIM THEIR INTEREST <br />IN THIS.PROPERTY TO THE COUNTY. THERE IS A HOUSE ON THE PROPERTY <br />WHICH HAS BEEN CONDEMNED BY THE CITY OF VERO BEACH AND THE BUILDING <br />DEPARTMENT HAS STATED THAT IT SHOULD BE TORN DOWN. THE CITY OF <br />VERO BEACH WILL DO THIS WORK BUT IT WILL PUT AN ADDITIONAL LIEN <br />ON THE PROPERTY. DONALD ADAMS; BUILDING DIRECTOR HAS REQUESTED - <br />THE COUNTY TO SHARE 1/2 THE COST TO DEMOLISH THIS HOUSE. IF THIS <br />IS DONE THE VALUE OF 1. THE LAND WILL INCREASE. THIS PROPERTY IS <br />LOCATED ON COMMERCE AVENUE, NORTH OF 18TH STREET, <br />DONALD ADAMS APPEARED BEFORE THE BOARD AND STATED THAT THE <br />CITY IS WORKING AT REMOVING BLIGHTED BUILDINGS AND ARE CONDEMNING <br />ONLY THE VERY HAZARDOUS STRUCTURES. MR. ADAMS HAS RECEIVED A BID <br />TO REMOVE THIS STRUCTURE, IN THE AMOUNT OF $500.00. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER SIEBERT, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />DRITENBAS, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED PARTICIPATION IN THE <br />DEMOLITION OF THE STRUCTURE ON THE PROPERTY KNOWN AS MATTIE C. <br />INGRAM PROPERTY, NOT TO EXCEED $250.00, AND THE DETAILS BE <br />WORKED OUT BY THE BUILDING DIRECTOR AND THE COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER SIEBERT, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />DRITENBAS, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY AGREED TO ACCEPT A "QUIT CLAIM DEED" <br />ON THE PROPERTY KNOWN AS MATTIE C. INGRAM'PROPERTY <br />AT THE OCTOBER 9TH, 1974 BOARD MEETING, A PUBLIC HEARING <br />WAS HELD REGARDING ADOPTION OF AN ORDINANCE AMENDING INDIAN RIVER <br />COUNTY ORDINANCE No. 71-3, SECTION 23 BY ADDING PARAGRAPH K TO <br />PROVIDE ZONING DEPARTMENT INSPECTION AND APPROVAL OF COMPLETED <br />SITE PLANS, THE BOARD STATED THAT IT WAS THEIR FEELING THAT THIS <br />SHOULD BE THE BUILDING DEPARTMENTS RESPONSIBLITY AND NOT THE <br />ZONING DEPARTMENT.
