Telephone: (772) 567-5000 <br />August 17, 2004 <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida 32960-3365 <br />Ms. Susan Fleming <br />Bureau of Community Development- CDBG Section <br />Department of Community Affairs <br />2555 Shumard Oak Boulevard <br />Tallahassee, Florida 32399-2100 <br />Re: Indian River County CDBG-ED Grant Application (CVS Distribution Center) <br />Certification of Available Water, Wastewater, & Road Capacity & Certification of <br />Land Use Consistency <br />Dear Ms. Flemming: <br />Please be advised that Indian River County is seeking a CDBG-ED grant to fund required fire <br />protection facilities, water and sewer facilities, and road improvements for a proposed CVS <br />distribution center near the northwest corner of 98"' Avenue and S.R. 60 in unincorporated Indian <br />River County. <br />Proposed grant funded activities will include, but not be limited to, the construction of 2,781 <br />linear feet of 12 -inch water main, 170 linear feet of 8 -inch water main, 1,532 linear feet of 10 - <br />inch water main, 1,392 linear feet of 6 -inch sewer main, and improvements to portions of three <br />separate roads (98`h Avenue, 1001" Avenue and 22nd Street). <br />By way of this letter and the support documents attached hereto, the Indian River County Board <br />of County.Commissioners certifies that the proposed project is consistent with both the County's <br />comprehensive plan and land development regulations, and that the County has adequate water, <br />sewer, and road capacity to serve the project. <br />The project is important to Indian River County, as the CVS distribution center is a strong <br />national employer that can help to reduce unemployment and improve the quality of life for area <br />residents. <br />
