i <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2005 010 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF A FY 2004/05 <br />GRANT APPLICATION FOR 49 USC CH. 53, SECTION 5307 MASS <br />TRANSIT CAPITAL AND OPERATING ASSISTANCE. <br />WHEREAS, the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) is authorized to award Section 5307 <br />grant funds for the implementation of a mass transportation program of projects; <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County and the Indian River County Council on Aging utilize <br />FTA Section 5307 funds to provide needed public transportation services within the County and; <br />WHEREAS, in applying for FTA Section 5307 funds, Indian River County and the Indian <br />River County Council on Aging will comply with all applicable federal regulations and requirements <br />associated with the Section 5307 program. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE INDIAN RIVER COUNTY BOARD OF <br />COUNTY COMMISSIONERS: <br />1. That the Community Development Director is authorized to file applications on behalf of <br />Indian River County with the U.S. Department of Transportation to finance and implement <br />the capital and operating program of projects specified in the County's FY 2004/05 grant <br />application under 49 USC Chapter 53, Section 5307. <br />2. That the Chairman of the Indian River County Board of County Commissioners, the County <br />Attorney, and/or Community Development Director is authorized to execute, and the <br />Community Development Director is authorized to file with such application, an assurance or <br />any other document required by the U.S. Department of Transportation effectuating the <br />purpose of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. <br />3. That the County Attorney and/or the Community Development Director is authorized to <br />execute grant agreements with the U.S. Department of Transportation to finance and <br />implement the program of projects specified in the County's FY 2004/05 grant application <br />under 49 USC Chapter 53, Section 5307. <br />4. That the Chairman of the Indian River County Board of County Commissioners is authorized <br />to set forth and execute necessary Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) policies in <br />connection with such application as specified in the County's adopted DBE plan and in <br />accordance with the federal requirements of 49 CFR Part 26. <br />5. That the Indian River County Community Development Director is authorized to furnish <br />such additional information as the U.S. Department of Transportation may require in <br />connection with the County's FY 2004/05 grant application under 49 USC Chapter 53, <br />Section 5307. <br />
