Brown <br />Budget Manager <br />Date: June 23, 2003 <br />Subject: Miscellaneous Budget Amendment 011 <br />Description and Conditions <br />The attached budget amendment appropriates funding necessary for the following: <br />1. Indian River County libraries have received donations totaling $1,797. The attached entry <br />appropriates these funds. <br />2. On May 6, 2003, the Board of Commissioners approved a Summer Library Reading <br />Partnership Pilot grant agreement in the amount of $7,500. The attached entry appropriates <br />these grant funds. <br />3. An additional module is needed in the phone system for the Administration Building due to <br />increased call volumes. The attached entry appropriates funding, in the amount of $21,000, <br />from Municipal Service Taxing Unit (M.S.T.U.) Fund contingencies. <br />4. Several pieces of equipment need to be replaced in the current year in Road & Bridge and <br />Traffic Engineering. The attached entry appropriates funding from Transportation Fund <br />contingencies. <br />5. The fiscal year 2002/03 budget included funding in the amount of $75,000 for Murphy Act <br />reservation mapping for the GIS system. The attached entry rolls these funds to the current <br />year. <br />6. On April 8, 2003, the Board of Commissioners approved the installation of an air conditioning <br />system at the Old Douglas School to support the Daisy Hope program. The attached entry <br />appropriates funding of $25,000 from Optional Sales Tax reserves for contingency. <br />7. On June 10, 2003, the Board of Commissioners approved an Environmental Protection <br />Agency (EPA) Section 319(h) grant agreement for East Roseland Stormwater Improvements. <br />The attached entry appropriates $289,000 in grant funds. <br />8. The attached entry appropriates funding for a picnic shelter at West Wabasso Park. Funding <br />in the amount of $32,000 will be provided by Optional Sales Tax reserve for contingencies. <br />
