BE CHANGED <br />TO READ "....AGREED TO TABLE THE DISCUSSION OF THIS MATTER." <br />CHAIRMAN LOY REQUESTED ON PAGE 45, FIRST PARAGRAPH, FOURTH <br />SENTENCE, THE WORD "HAS" BE CHANGED TO "WILL". <br />THESE CORRECTIONS HAVING BEEN MADE A MOTION WAS MADE BY <br />COMMISSIONER WODTKE, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER MASSEY, THE BOARD <br />UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED THE MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF JANUARY <br />8, 1975, AS WRITTEN. <br />ROSEMARY RICHEY, SUPERVISOR OF ELECTIONS APPEARED TO DISCUSS <br />WITH THE BOARD PRECINCTS THAT HAVE GOTTEN TOO LARGE OR INCONVENIENT <br />AND CONSIDERATION SHOULD BE GIVEN TO SPLITTING THEM. <br />MRS. RICHEY LISTED THE FOLLOWING PRECINCTS AS. HAVING PROBLEMS: <br />PRECINCT 5B - ROCKRIDGE COMMUNITY CENTER <br />THERE ARE 272 REGISTERED VOTERS IN THIS PRECINCT THAT LIVE ON <br />THE EAST tIDE OF THE RIVER SOUTH ON S.R. A1A. 875 VOTERS ARE FROM <br />THE MAINLAND IN THE ROCKRIDGE AREA. A NEW POLLING PLACE ON THE EAST <br />SIDE OF THE RIVER COULD BE CONSIDERED. <br />PRECINCT 5A - BEACH FIRE STATION <br />THERE ARE 2,300 REGISTERED VOTERS. THIS PRECINCT IS TOO LARGE AND <br />SHOULD BE SPLIT. <br />PRECINCT 2B - ELKS CLUB <br />THERE ARE 311 VOTERS ON THE MAINLAND AND 370 VOTERS EAST OF THE <br />RIVER IN THE TOWN OF INDIAN RIVER SHORES. <br />GORDON .JOHNSTON, ATTORNEY REPRESENTING THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE <br />TOWN OF INDIAN RIVER SHORES APPEARED STATING THAT THE TOWN OF INDIAN <br />RIVER SHORES RESIDENTS ARE IN FAVOR OF A VOTING PLACE THAT WOULD <br />BE MORE CONVENIENT, THEY ARE NOW VOTING AT THE ELKS CLUB, AND HE <br />SUGGESTED THAT THE TOWN HALL IN THE TOWN OF INDIAN RIVER SHORES BE <br />USED AS A VOTING PLACE FOR THOSE RESIDENTS LIVING IN THE BEACH AREA. <br />-2- <br />ROOK -22 PAGE 02 <br />
