PRCLAMATION <br />WHEREAS, in recent years the sport of tennis has provided <br />wholesome recreation and entertainment to the citizens of all <br />ages of Indian River County; and <br />WHEREAS, the endeavors and objectives of the Westside <br />Racquet Club have made a substantial contribution to the promotion <br />of and participation in the sport of tennis in Indian River County; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Westside Racquet Club will host, on March 30 <br />through April 5, 1975, the first annual 16 -year-old Girls <br />National Clay Court Championships; and <br />WHEREAS, not only is this the first national tennis tournament <br />to be played in Indian River County, but it is the first National <br />tournament in the State of Florida; and <br />WHEREAS, the Cancer Research Fund is the major benefactor <br />of this tournament; and <br />WHEREAS, the Cdunty <br />desires to recognize the <br />Clay Court Championships <br />from March 31 to April 5 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, let <br />day of March, 1975, this <br />through April 5, 1975 as <br />County, Florida. <br />Commission of Indian River County <br />first annual 16 -year-old Girls National <br />to be held at the Westside Racquet Club <br />it be resolved, that on this 19th <br />Commission declares the week.of March 31 <br />National Tennis Week in Indian River <br />Chairman, County Commion <br />Indian River County, orida <br />
