ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER SCHMUCKER, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />MASSEY, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY AUTHORIZED THE COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR AND <br />THE COUNTY ATTORNEY TO REVIEW THE LIST OF PARCELS PUT UP FOR TAX DEED SALE <br />ON APRIL 28TH, TO DECIDE IF THE COUNTY WANTS OR COULD USE ANY OF THESE <br />PARCELS. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER MASSEY, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />SCHMUCKER, THE BOARD ADOPTED THE FOLLOWING PROCLAMATION. <br />PROCLAMATION <br />WHEREAS, volunteering of one's time and resources is an <br />undisputed part of the essence of our County and essential <br />to its vital life, and <br />WHEREAS, we are a Nation of people who thrive on helping <br />others as well as ourselves to a better life, and <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County is a very special place to <br />live with many fine volunteer organizations that help to <br />sustain our Community and its quality of life, and <br />WHEREAS, it has been proven that our Nation's greatest <br />resource is its people, and <br />WHEREAS, anyone old or young, rich or poor can be a <br />volunteer and reap the rich reward of doing for others as <br />well as from improving one's one skills and widening one's <br />own horizons, and <br />WHEREAS, our Community and Country will benefit as <br />more•and more of us bestow the priceless gift that comes <br />only when people give of themselves; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that on this 9th day <br />'of April, 1975, this Commission declares the week of <br />April 20 to 26, 1975 as Volunteer Recognition Week in <br />Indian River County, Florida, and it is urged that all the <br />citizens of our County observe this week by seeking out <br />some area in our Community where they can, by devoting a <br />few hours each week and more if possible, give aid to some <br />needy individual or cause. <br />APR 91975 <br />-31- <br />Alma Lee Loy, Chairman <br />Indian River County Coi{imission <br />Indian River County, Florida <br />
