NAY 21197S <br />RESOLUTION NO. 75-31 <br />WHEREAS, Florida Statute 196.28 authorizes and provides <br />the procedure for the Board of County Commissioners to cancel <br />Tax liens on certain lands; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian <br />River County, Florida detepnined that the following described <br />property is being used for a public purpose and desires to <br />cancel tax liens on said lands for the year 1974, and all <br />subsequent years provided the land continues to be used for <br />public purposes; and <br />WHEREAS, the land in question is described as follows: <br />Tracts 2, 3, 6 and 7 lying East of I-95 right -of <br />-way in Section 36, Township 33 South, Range 38 East, <br />according to the last general plat of Indian River <br />Farms Company recorded in Plat Book 2, page 25,Public <br />Records of St. Lucie County, Florida, said land now <br />lying and being in Indian River County, Florida; <br />LESS Highway and canal right-of-way. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Indian River County, that the above <br />described property which is being used for a public purpose, <br />i.e., a Prison, and owned by the State of Florida, effective <br />January 1, 1974, be discharged from the lien for taxes, <br />currently and for as long as the above described real property <br />is used for a public purpose and owned by the State of Floridaand <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this cancellation of tax liens <br />on the property be delivered to the appropriate Taxing Officials <br />for a notation on their Tax Rolls. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FORIDA <br />By <br />Alma Lee Loy, Chairm <br />Attest: <br />Ralph HaTris, Clerk <br />
