xtil b i -r e INDIAN RIVER COUNTY ORDINANCE No. 74 BE IT ENACTED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA: Section 1. Short Title : This Act shall be known and may be cited as the"Indian River County Comprehensive Planning Act of 1974". Section 2. Intent and Purpose: (1) To improve the physical environment of the community c as a setting for human activities - to make it more functional, beautiful, decent, healthful, interesting, and efficient. (2) To promote the public interest, while maintaining if possible a balance between the interest of the community at large, and the interests of individuals or special groups within the community. (3) To facilitate the democratic determination and imple- mentation of community policies on physical development. . . (4) To effect political and technical coordination in com- munity development. . .
