MATHEWS, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR <br />IONE HENRY - HEAD START DIRECTOR <br />ALLEN VAN VESSOR - DIRECTOR OF THE C. E. T. A. PROGRAM <br />JEAN STRAWTER - REPRESENTATIVE OF THE ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY COU'ICIL <br />ZONESE REGAL - BOOKKEEPER <br />BETTY GIPSON - EMERGENCY FOOD DIRECTOR <br />CARY MCKINNEY - A MEMBER OF THE BOARD <br />MR, JENKINS STATED THAT HAD BEEN ELECTED PRESIDENT OF <br />THE ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY COUNCIL AND HIS GOALS AND PRIORITIES AS <br />PRESIDENT ARE TO CARRY OUT THE FUNCTION OF THE ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY <br />COUNCIL. HE STATED THAT THE COMMUNITY SERVICES ADMINISTRATION, IN <br />ATLANTA, THE COMPTROLLER OF FEDERAL FUNDS FOR E. O. C., IS NOT SATISFIED <br />WITH THE PRESENT SET UP OF THE BOARD AND THAT WILL HAVE TO BE RECTIFIED. <br />INTERNAL PROBLEMS WILL HAVE TO BE TAKEN CARE OF, THE STATE HAS INFORMED <br />US THAT THEY ARE NOT SATISFIED WITH THE BREAKDOWN OF BLACKS AID WHITES <br />AND WE WILL HAVE TO EMPLOY MORE WHITE PEOPLE IN OUR PROGRAMS. WE WILL <br />UP -DATE OUR CONSTITUTION AND BYLAWS TO CONFORM. !IE CONTINUED THAT AS <br />PRESIDENT OF THE E.O.C. HE WILL CONTINUE TO STRIVE FOR PROGRAMS TO <br />HELP BOTH THE AGED AND THE DISADVANTAGED. <br />MR, MATTHEWS APPEARED TO INFORM THE BOARD OF HIS PROGRAMS ANL <br />WHERE THE FUNDS FOR THESE PROGRAMS WILL COME FROM: <br />1. SUMMER FEEDING PROGRAM: THIS PROGRAM WILL EMPLOY 12 FULL TIME. <br />PEOPLE AND WILL BECOME EFFECTIVE ON JUNE 18, 1975, ANY PERIOFI <br />AGE 7 TO 19 WILL BE FED FREE OF CHARGE. FUNDS FOR THIS PROGRAM WILL <br />COME FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION. <br />2. C.E.T.A. TITLE 1. THIS IS BASICALLY FOR ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF AND <br />OUT -REACH PROGRAMS. FUNDS FOR THIS PROGRAM WILL COME FROM THE <br />MANPOWER PROGRAM. <br />3. COMMUNITY SERVICES - DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS. <br />4. SUMMER YOUTH PROGRAM. - THE PRESIDENT VETOED THIS AND MR. <br />MATTHEWS STATED HE HAS REAPPLIED FOR THESE FUNDS. <br />5. FOUNDATION GRANTS: <br />GENERAL MOTORS; FORD,GENERAL ELECTRIC, ETC. <br />THESE COMPANIES HAVE SET ASIDE MONEY FOR PEOPLE WHO NEED IT AND HE <br />5 <br />tioak'3. ?AGE 05 <br />
