WHEREAS, these counties agree to follow all guidelines <br />established by the State of Florida necessary to create a new <br />Regional Planning District. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows: <br />1. That this Board does hereby officially request the <br />creation of a new Regional Planning District comprised of the <br />Counties of Indian River, Martin, St. Lucie and Palm Beach, <br />representing a logical grouping of counties having similar in- <br />terests and concerns. <br />2. That the proposed new district be recognized as an <br />official Regional Planning District with all rights and privi- <br />leges afforded thereto. <br />3. That the municipalities within each of said counties <br />be informed of this action and be invited to participate. <br />4. That Okeechobee County be informed of this action and <br />be invited to participate. <br />5. That certified copies of this resolution be forwarded <br />to each of the respective Legislative Delegations with a request <br />for their support. <br />6.
