AT THE JULY 9TH AND AUGUST 6TH MEETINGS A REQUEST FROM SILBERT <br />TOTTEN THAT THE COUNTY EXTEND GIBSON STREET IN THE ROSELAND AREA SOUTH <br />PAST HIS PROPERTY WAS DISCUSSED, MR, TOTTEN OWNS LOTS 3 AND 4 IN A. A. <br />BERRY SUBDIVISION AND WOULD LIKE TO PUT UP AN INDUSTRIAL BUILDING ON THIS <br />PROPERTY, BUT HE DOES NOT HAVE INGRESS AND EGRESS TO HIS PROPERTY, <br />THE COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR REPORTED THAT THE COUNTY DOES NOT HAVE <br />RIGHT-OF-WAY ALONG THIS PORTION OF GIBSON STREET AND, AT THE BOARD'S <br />REQUEST, HE CHECKED WHO THE OWNERS ALONG GIBSON STREET WERE AND FOUND <br />THE FOLLOWING: <br />JAMES BUSHNELL OWNS ONE LOT; MR, BOSWORTH OWNS TWO LOTS; KEN <br />ATHA OWNS ONE LOT AND GENERAL DEVELOPMENT OWNS 13 LOTS, <br />THE COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR AGREED TO WRITE THE ABOVE OWNERS SUG- <br />GESTING THAT THEY DEDICATE A PORTION OF THEIR PROPERTY IN ORDER TO BUILD <br />A ROAD WITH THE UNDERSTANDING THAT THE COUNTY IS IN NO WAY ABLE TO BUILD <br />AT THIS TIME; HOWEVER, WHEN THE ECONOMIC SITUATION ALLOWS US TO DO THIS, <br />WE WILL, <br />THE COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR INFORMED THE BOARD OF A REQUEST FROM <br />SHERIFF SAM T. JOYCE FOR COUNTY FORCES TO MOVE A BUILDING FROM U.S. No, 1 <br />TO THE COUNTY JAIL PROPERTY, TO BE USED AS A STORAGE SHED, <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER SIEBERT, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />SCHMUCKER, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED THE COUNTY MOVING A BUILDING <br />FROM U,S. No. 1 TO THE COUNTY JAIL PROPERTY, AS REQUESTED BY SHERIFF SAM <br />T. JOYCE, <br />THE COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR INFORMED THE BOARD 'THU THE RESURFACING <br />PROGRAM HAS BEEN COMPLETED WITH APPROXIMATELY 15 MILES OF ROADS BEING <br />RESURFACED AT A COST OF $99,416,25. <br />DR. DAVID SMITH AND JAMES BEINDORF, COUNTY CONSULTING ENGINEERS <br />APPEARED AND INFORMED THE BOARD THAT THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY <br />HAS ISSUED A GRANT AWARD IN THE AMOUNT OF $183,077.00. DR. SMITH STATED <br />THAT THERE ARE CERTAIN CONDITIONS IN THE GRANT THAT THE COUNTY MUST AGREE <br />TO AS FOLLOWS: THE CHAIRMAN TO BE AUTHORIZED TO SIGN THE GRANT AWARD <br />WHEN IT IS RECEIVED AND THE ENGINEERS BE AUTHORIZED TO PROCEED WITH THEIR <br />WORK, <br />- 20 - <br />AUG 2 197 <br />BoOk23 f* 22 <br />
