ADMINISTRATOR JENNINGS INFORMED THE BOARD THAT WITH REGARD <br />TO THE BID ON THE FELLSMERE FIRE TRUCK EQUIPMENT, HE RECOMMENDS THAT <br />THE BID OF TURNER MACHINE & SUPPLY CO. OF FORT PIERCE IN THE AMOUNT <br />OF $7,950.00 BE ACCEPTED. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER WODTRE, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />MASSEY, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY ACCEPTED THE BID OF TURNER MACHINE & SUPPLY <br />COMPANY FOR EQUIPMENT, MATERIALS AND LABOR NECESSARY TO INSTALL WATER <br />TANK, BODY, PLUMBING, PUMP AND PUMPSHAFT ON ONE 1975 FORD MODEL F600 <br />4 -WHEEL DRIVE TRUCK CHASSIS FOR A FIRE TRUCK, AS BEING THE LOWEST AND <br />BEST BID MEETING SPECIFICATIONS, IN THE AMOUNT OF $7,950.00. <br />CHAIRMAN LOY POINTED OUT TO THE BOARD THAT THE REGULAR MEETINGS <br />IN THE MONTH OF DECEMBER THIS YEAR WILL FALL ON THE 10TH AND THE 24TH <br />AND SUGGESTED THAT THESE DATES BE CHANGED. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER SCHMUCKER, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />MASSEY, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED CHANGING THE DECEMBER MEETING <br />DATES TO DECEMBER 3, 1975 AND DECEMBER 17, 1975. <br />JACK HOCKMAN, FINANCE OFFICER, AND VAL BRENNAN, PLANNING <br />DIRECTOR, WERE OFFICIALLY NOTIFIED OF THIS CHANGE OF DATES. <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS INFORMED THE BOARD THAT THE TOWN OF INDIAN <br />RIVER SHORES IS BUILDING A NEW FIRE STATION, AND BECAUSE OF BUDGETING <br />REQUIREMENTS, THEY HAVE ASKED THAT THEIR REQUEST FOR $50,000.00 FOR, <br />FIRE EQUIPMENT BE DESIGNATED AS MATCHING FUNDS. <br />THE ATTORNEY STATED THAT HE DID NOT SEE ANY BAD EFFECT OF <br />THE COUNTY DOING THIS AS LONG AS THE $50,000.00 WAS USED FOR THE PURPOSE <br />THAT THE COUNTY INTENDED. HE RECOMMENDED THAT THE $50,000.00 AS BUD- <br />GETED BE LABELED LOCAL MATCHING MONEY NOW AND WE GET INTO AN AGREEMENT <br />''LATER ON. <br />AFTER SOME DISCUSSION, ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER SIEBERT, <br />SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER SCHMUCKER, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY AGREED TO <br />DESIGNATE THE COUNTY CONTRIBUTION AS LOCAL MATCHING FUNDS TOWARDS THE <br />PURCHASE OF FIRE TRUCKS BY THE TOWN OF INDIAN RIVER SHORES. <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS REMINDED THE BOARD THAT AS OF THE FIRST <br />OF OCTOBER THERE WILL BE NO SPECIFIC ENTITY OF A PLANNING DEPARTMENT <br />- 88 - <br />SEP 241975 <br />8OUK. 23 . a : 467 <br />
