THE BOARD AGREED THAT THE COUNTY ATTORNEY, AND COUNTY CONSULTING <br />ENGINEERS GIVE CONSIDERATION TO RECEIVING INPUT FROM ENGINEEW WITH <br />LAUREL HOMES INC. AND CUSTOMER SERVICE INC. TO REVIEW AND AMEND THE <br />WORDING OF THE UTILITY FRANCHISE REQUIREMENT AGREEMENT. <br />BLAYNE .JENNINGS, ATTORNEY REPRESENTING MRS. CARABELLE LEONARD <br />APPEARED AND INFORMED THE BOARD THAT MRS. LEONARD WOULD LIKE TO PURCHASE <br />REAL PROPERTY WHICH WAS OWNED BY HER AND HER HUSBAND, WHO IS NOW DECEASED. <br />THE COUNTY NOW OWNS THE PROPERTY, WHICH WAS OBTAIN FOR NON-PAYMENT OF <br />BACK TAXES IN 1965. MRS, LEONARD IS STILL LIVING ON THE PROPERTY AND <br />IS REQUESTING AN OPPORTUNITY TO PURCHASE THE PROPERTY BACK. THE BACK <br />TAXES ARE APPROXIMATELY $1,700.00 AND MRS, LEONARD WOULD LIKE TO PAY <br />THE COUNTY $200.00 PER MONTH TOWARDS PAYING THE BACK TAXES AND OWNERSHIP. <br />OF THIS PROPERTY. <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS INFORMED ATTORNEY .JENNINGS THAT IF THE COUNTY <br />WERE TO SELL THE PROPERTY IT WOULD HAVE TO BE SOLD BY PUBLICATION TO <br />RECEIVE BIDS. <br />THE COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR INFORMED THE BOARD THAT THIS PARTICULAR <br />PARCEL OF PROPERTY IS LOCATED ON BARBER AVENUE - LOTS 199 AND 200 IN <br />GEOFFREY SUBDIVISION, AND IS INVOLVED IN RIGHTS-OF-WAY ACQUISITION <br />CURRENTLY UNDERWAY•WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR BARBER AVENUE <br />EXTENSION, IF THE COUNTY WERE TO ADVERTISE AND DISPOSE OF THESE <br />LOTS TODAY, WE WOULD THEN HAVE TO GO BACK TO THE OWNER OF THE PROPERTY <br />TO ACQUIRE THIS ADDITIONAL RIGHT-OF-WAY, WHICH WOULD BE COMPLICATED. <br />HE CONTINUED THAT IT HAS BEEN FOUND THERE IS•A 9 FOOT VARIANCE <br />BETWEEN THE STATE'S SURVEY AND THE COUNTY'S SURVEY AND THE ACTUAL <br />ACQUISITION OF THIS PROPERTY HAS BEEN HELD UP UNTIL THIS VARIANCE HAS <br />BEEN CORRECTED, IT WAS HIS RECOMMENDATION THAT WE HOLD THIS REQUEST IN <br />ABEYANCE UNTIL THE PERFECTING OF THE BARBER AVENUE EXTENSION RIGHT-OF-WAY <br />TITLE IS COMPLETED, <br />THE BOARD AND ATTORNEY JENNINGS AGREED TO ACCEPT THE COUNTY AD- <br />MINISTRATOR'S RECOMMENDATION. <br />THE BOARD ADVISED ATTORNEY .JENNINGS THAT THEY WOULD BE RECEPTIVE <br />TO ATTORNEY .JENNINGS REQUEST. <br />18 <br />OCT 2 21915 <br />ROB 24 'A E 52 <br />
