SCHEDULE SUCH AS IS PRESENTLY USED FOR LOCAL GOVERNMENTAL AGENCIES ON <br />AUTHORIZED WORK PROJECTS." <br />THESE CORRECTIONS HAVING BEEN MADE, A MOTION .WAS MADE BY <br />COMMISSIONER WODTKE, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER SCHMUCKER, THE BOARD UNANIM- <br />OUSLY APPROVED THE MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF OCTOBER 8, 1975, <br />AS WRITTEN. <br />AT THE OCTOBER 8, 1975 MEETING OFFICIALS FROM THE ECONOMIC <br />OPPORTUNITY COUNCIL APPEARED AND INFORMED THE BOARD THAT THEY WERE IN <br />RECEIPT OF A LETTER FROM THEIR ATLANTA OFFICE WHICH STATED THAT THE <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS'IS COMPOSED OF 18 SEATS, AND AT THIS TIME THE "PUBLIC <br />SECTOR" IS NOT ONE-THIRD OF THE BOARD AS REQUIRED BY LEGISLATION. ATLANTA <br />STATED THAT THE PUBLIC SECTOR MUST BE COMPOSED OF PUBLIC OFFICIALS WITH <br />PREFERENCE GIVEN TO ELECTED PUBLIC OFFICIALS. IT WAS -FURTHER STATED <br />THAT THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS, IF THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO SIT ON THIS BOARD, <br />MAY DESIGNATE A PERMANENT REPRESENTATIVE OR THEY -MAY DESIGNATE ANOTHER <br />PUBLIC AGENCY TO HAVE REPRESENTATION. <br />CHAIRMAN LOY STATED THAT THE FOLLOWING PEOPLE HAVE SERVED ON THE <br />E.O.C. COUNCIL AND THEY WERE ASKED IF THEY WISHED TO CONTINUE SERVING. <br />THEY HAVE AGREED TO EITHER SERVE THEMSELVES OR TO RECOMMEND ANOTHER PARTY: <br />GERALDINE ABRAHAM, SHERIFF SAM T. JOYCE, CAPTAIN JESSIE SELPH HAS RE- <br />COMMENDED SERGEANT JOHN D'AGOSTO AND COMMISSIONER EDWARD MASSEY. <br />THERE IS STILL A NEED FOR TWO MORE PEOPLE TO BE APPOINTED. AND <br />AFTER DISCUSSION A MOTION WAS MADE BY COMMISSIONER SIEBERT,'SECONDED BY <br />COMMISSIONER.SCHMUCKER, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY.=AGREED TO CONTACT THE <br />DIVISION OF YOUTH SERVICES AND THE INDIAN RIVER COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD AND <br />REQUEST THEM TO RECOMMEND A PERSON FOR APPOINTMENT TO THE ECONOMIC OP- <br />PORTUNITY COUNCIL, BOARD OF DIRECTORS. THE BOARD APPROVED THE FOLLOWING <br />APPOINTMENTS TO THE E.O.C.: GERALDINE ABRAHAM; SHERIFF SAM T. :JOYCEJ. <br />SERGEANT JOHN D'AGOSTO AND COMMISSIONER MASSEY. <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS INFORMED THE BOARD THAT AT THE OCTOBER 8, 1975 <br />MEETING A SEWER AND WATER FRANCHISE FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE INC. WAS APPROVED <br />SUBJECT TO THE AMENDMENT OF DEFINITIONS ON PAGE 2.
