COMMISSIONER. SIEBERT SAID THE BOARD HAD HEARD THERE WAS PENDING <br />LEGAL ACTION AGAINST MR. BROWN, <br />ATTORNEY SULLIVAN STATED THAT THE CHARGES HAVE BEEN DISMISSED AND <br />THERE ARE NO CHARGES AGAINST MR. BROWN AT THIS TIME. <br />, ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER SCHMUCKER, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER MASSEY,. <br />THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY GRANTED A RENEWAL PERMIT TO CARRY A CONCEALED FIREARM <br />TO LEROY BROWN. <br />THE ADMINISTRATOR INFORMED THE BOARD THAT WE HAVE RECEIVED A TITLE <br />SEARCH ON PARCELS OF PROPERTY ALONG NORTH GIFFORD ROAD BETWEEN U.S. 1 AND <br />INDIAN RIVER BLVD., BUT IN VIEW OF ENVIRONMENTAL -PROBLEMS FROM BARBER AVENUE <br />NORTH, HE WOULD LIKE AN OPINION FROM THE BOARD AS TO WHETHER THEY WANT TO BE- <br />COME INVOLVED WITH THE ACQUISITION OF RIGHT-OF-WAY ALONG NORTH GIFFORD <br />ROAD, AT THIS TIME. <br />ATTORNEY BURCH STATED THAT SOME OF THE OWNERS OF THE PROPERTY HAVE <br />INDICATED TO HIM THAT THEY WILL DONATE RIGHTS-OF-WAY WHEN IT IS TIME TO BUILD <br />THE ROAD. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER SCHMUCKER, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER MASSEY, <br />THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY AGREED.TO PUT A HOLD ON ACQUIRING -RIGHTS-OF-WAY ALONG <br />NORTH GIFFORD ROAD BETWEEN U.S.1 AND INDIAN RIVER BLVD. FOR A YEAR AND THEN <br />REASSESS THE MATTER. <br />CHAIRMAN- LOY INFORMED THE BOARD THAT WE HAVE RECEIVED A LETTER FROM <br />R..J.SCENT, REAL ESTATE BROKER, REPRESENTING ZAPF GROVES WHO ARE. INTERESTED <br />IN PURCHASING COUNTY PROPERTY IN INDIAN RIVER FARMS COMPANY SUBDIVISION. <br />ADMINISTRATOR JENNINGS STATED THAT THIS IS PROPERTY LYING JUST <br />NORTH OF KINGSBERRY ROAD WHERE THE COUNTY ORIGINALLY HAD A BORROW PIT, WHICH - <br />WAS FILLED IN AND USED AS A STUMP DUMP. IT IS NOT NOW BEING USED, AND THERE <br />HAVE BEEN SEVERAL REQUESTS TO PURCHASE IT. -HE NOTED THAT ZAPF GROVES OWNS <br />PROPERTY ON BATH SIDES OF THE PIECE OF PROPERTY BEING DISCUSSED. <br />COMMISSIONER SIEBERT SAID HE FELT THIS PIECE OF PROPERTY SHOULD <br />BE DISPOSED OF AND PLACED BACK ON THE TAX ROLLS. <br />AFTER DISCUSSION, A MOTION WAS MADE BY COMMISSIONER SIEBERT, SECONDED <br />BY COMMISSIONER MASSEY, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY. AGREED TO DISPOSE OF THE PARCEL <br />OF PROPERTY DESCRIBED ON THE TAX RECORD AS: <br />13-32-39, 01 0130 001 0, 8.06 ACRES, 8,060, INDIAN RIVER <br />FARMS COMPANY SUBDIVISION PBS 2-12, WEST 9.2 ACRES OF EAST <br />19.2 ACRES OF TRACT 13 LESS WEST 25.54 FEET; <br />15 - <br />NOV 51975 <br />PAGEif <br />
