RESOLUTION NO. 75- 74 <br />WHEREAS, by Motion on July 27, 1973, the Board of County <br />Commissioners of.Indian River County, Florida unanimously appointed <br />JACELYN BLOCK, formerly known as JACELYN KARST, as Indian River <br />County Youth Guidance Volunteer Coordinator; and <br />WHEREAS, as Youth Guidance Volunteer Coordinator it was <br />JACELYN BLOCK'S responsibility to organize volunteers throughout <br />the Community to work on a one -and -one basis with children <br />.who are not yet classified as delinquent but are heading for <br />potential problems; and <br />WHEREAS, JACELYN BLOCK successfully organized volunteers <br />throughout the Community and teamed these volunteers with <br />potentially delinquent children who needed guidance and direction <br />to steer them away from potential conduct that could result in <br />court action and the receiving of a court record; and <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County has benefited from the Volunteer <br />Youth Guidance Program primarily through the leadership, time <br />and effort'of the Program's Coordinator, JACELYN BLOCK. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the <br />County Commission unanimously extends its thanks to JACELYN BLOCK <br />for organizing a new crime deterrent program within the County <br />and successfully directing the Youth Guidance Volunteer Program <br />during her tenure as Youth Guidance Volunteer Coordinator. <br />Such Resolution shall become effective as of the <br />day of <br />December <br />, 1975. <br />/ <br />Attes :, ?, <br />] alpii tlaz' s, C c:ik <br />DEC 31915 <br />3rd <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY FLORIDA <br />/-k2 <br />By ,4/4:7�/ s sid� .).24(1 (7,/ <br />Alma Lee Loy, Chairman <br />BOCK <br />Pa;E 163 <br />
